Yesterday was the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century, about one hour and 43 minute, but even the great opposition of Mars, the most spectacular since 2003.
While the Moon turned red for the eclipse, the Red Planet appeared in the sky bigger than 10%.
It seemed like a special television effect but it is a wonderful natural phenomenon. Unfortunately, from my house I could only take pictures of the moon when it passed through the shadow of the Earth.
I took pictures yesterday July 27th 2018, from 9.30 p.m with my Nikon Coolpix P520, from Ardea near Rome, Italy -Latitude: 41.607969 | Longitude: 12.543259 - together with my daughters, super special assistants.
I wanted to give my contribution I hope you like my shots.
