To avoid public shaming from a certain person who shall not be named, I had to get out and make a couple photos of Neowise.
First one is from Friday night where Ian, Meg, and I hiked up to Lewis Peak, a mere 5.2 miles (each way) and 2 billion feet vertical (at least it felt like 2 billion).
My dream shot would have been the comet directly above Ben Lomond but as you can see the clouds prevented that from happening. So we discussed getting up there again for Saturday night, which had a much more clear forecast, but my feet and legs and sleep deprived body just wouldn't have been able to do it, we opted to shoot at Big Rock in the mouth of the North Ogden Divide. While not the exact alignment I dreamed of, I still like it.
