Muruwa (Acehnese) or Asian water monitors, is a large size lizard, found in many parts of the world. They live in two realms, water and land, so much found in mangrove forests, or in rivers to catch fish and carrion. Even in some cases we also find they pounce on birds because of their prey.
This picture I took earlier, while I was on my way home and passed a small river in Punge Aceh, they often sunbathe by the river, and they do not seem to be afraid of humans.
