Today I want to share a foggy landscape by the river and my experience of creating it from a spoiled frame with the help of post-processing.
This is what this landscape looks like.
When I was shooting this landscape, I checked whether it was possible to make a photo with a blurring of water due to long exposure. For long exposures, I used three ND filters (ND8, ND4, ND2). In this regard, the frame turned out with vignetting, overexposures, and also an extraneous color shade.
First I framed this photo. Then, using a clever fill, I drew clouds at the place of the overexposure. At the same time, I managed to leave a small area for the sun. Corrected the white balance. Increased the contrast with the help of curves. Selectively customized colors.
As a result, I got this photo.
Then I wanted to add something else to this photo. And I decided to paint a fog in the photo.
To do this, I used the Color Efex Pro plug-in where, using two gradients, I drew a fog so that the area closest to the camera was less covered by fog.
That's how using the processing tools and a little wit, I made an interesting in my opinion photo from a spoiled frame.
I will be glad to hear your opinion on the result.
