It's been a few week since I last went out to shoot with the idea of documenting people and places during Covid-19. There was really nothing new I saw for a couple weeks, it was pretty much the same of what I had already been seeing and capturing. Now that the weather has been slowly getting warmer, and it's the start of the summer season with May 1st celebrations, I suspected things were about to change so I went out again with the camera to see what's up.
Mind you that restaurants are still closed, other than take-away sales, and so are a lot of other shops, and it's not permitted to gather in groups more than 10 people. You know the deal. Regulations are starting to loosen up soon I think since the cases have been so well under control.
This past Saturday, aka yesterday, it was clear that people were relaxing a lot more than in a long while. It was a sunny day, fairly warm (in terms of Finnish spring) and all the usual parks and outdoor biking and walking routes were filled with people.
It will be interesting to see if we get an increase in Covid-19 cases in the coming weeks now that people are clearly being around each other more and not as paranoid about human contact. I make no predictions to any which way.
