Found some unprocessed pictures that were captured about a month ago, so I checked them over. This was another intense thunderstorm that rolled over northern Estonia in the night. The first shot is taken from a car through the window.
Yeah, I know pretty bad result and wipers left some strange marks as well on my photo. Since this is not a good shot anyway I didn't bother to edit them off. Unfortunately, it was raining heavily outside and I had to do it through the glass. Pretty soon I realized this was only giving me bad results so I drove back home and took some shots out of the window there.
Better, but most of the strike got left out of the frame.
The third shot is the best one. You usually want to put the good shot on top of the post to attract people to see the post but I wanted to keep the chronological order this time.
Vertical strike
Bottom line is that I still failed to get a perfect shot of the lightning strike. Sadly this has been a case this summer all along and now the season is pretty much over. Well, there is always the next year...
