Recently I took a magical journey through the warm and wonderful country of India, with my camera and a classic Royal Enfield motorcycle. For many years prior I had wondered whether or not India would be as I expected it to be, from the many TV programmes that I had watched, and from the many books that I had read, that painted a vivid picture in my mind. My expectations were high, and thankfully it didn't disappoint.
This adventure took me from the hot and humid southern tip in Kanyakumari, to the majestic Himalayan region and as far north as the Nubra Valley, which shares frontier lines with China and Pakistan. There isn't a better way to narrate the story of this vibrant country, than through the facial expressions of the people that made my time there so welcoming.
Here are some of the fascinating characters that I encountered.
Two kids pose for a photo: Ooty Market, Tamil Nadu, India
The Carpenter: Mysuru, India
The Warm Bearded Gentleman: Alappuzha (Alleppey) India
The Sewing Man: Ketti, Tamil Nadu, India
The Little Ballerina: Udaipur, Rajasthan, India
The Baba: Varkala, Kerala, India
The Butchers Joke: Ooty Market, Tamil Nadu, India
Summer Scarf: Mangalore, Kanartaka, India
Thanks for reading my very first Steemit blog post! Part 2 will be on it's way very soon.
