This evening, after two and a half days of constant torrential rain, the sun peaked it's face through the clouds and blessed us here with a beautiful sunset.
I was able to capture shots of the sky, some of which are silhouette shots, capture the essence of light and dark; the separation of sky and darkness in the trees. I was also able to capture shots of a pipe running up from the ground with the sky as the background. The last shot is of a puddle reflecting the evening sky, with a pink hue visible in a "sea" of gravel and dirt surrounding it.
Here are the first set of shots, focusing on the sky:
The next shot is of a tree in focus up front with the sky as the background:
The next set of macro shots are of the pipe previously mentioned, with the beautifully colored sky out of focus:
The last shot is of the puddle in the middle of a gravel road, left from the consistent rain we have experienced. You can see the pinkish/purple coloring that made up the sky:
If it takes three days of rain in order to experience a sky like this, I will take it every single time. This evening, we were truly blessed.
One love,
