We have to admit, we're pretty happy with the first few days of Lensy being live. We've onboarded and whitelisted 43 different accounts so far with quite a few pending again!
What are the criteria for getting whitelisted on Lensy.io?
The main thing we're looking for right now are what we consider serious photographers. I have taken three photos as an example here:
The first one we will see is one that I would NOT consider tokenizing
It's a tree. And a car. And a house. And I have no idea why I decided to take this picture. The point is that it's not a particualarly interesting or well composited shot.
Let's take a look at a second picture
This one is a TON more interesting, but look at the background. There's whatever that is behind the flower that distracts from the subject. Again, this is one of my pics that I will not be tokenizing.
Finally let's take a look at a good photo to tokenize
Now in my book THAT'S a winning photo. It's well composed, it's interesting, and it's something I can see people wanting to hang on their wall.
Also, it is tokenized and can be yours for just 20 swap.hive
Know where you are in your skills
The first two pictures are examples of my snapshots, they're fun to take and while there may have been a point in me taking them, no one would want to own them outside of me.
I understand that you want to sell your photos, but you have to ask yourself, does anyone want to BUY my photos?
We are reviewing your links and we are looking for people that are taking their hobby or profession seriously. I have looked through a few links that people have sent, and I have either found no evidence of photography, or I have seen snapshots similar to my first two examples.
We need to see a portfolio of your work
In order to be whitelisted you must visit lensy.io and sign in with your Hive account.
Next, you need to completely fill out the profile secion then apply for the whitelist at the bottom of the profile section.
A profile application that is blank will be rejected.
We need to see a portfolio of your work. Please submit 3-5 of your best photographs in a Google Drive Folder and make sure you are submitting a shareable link.
You can submit the Google Drive link in the bio section of the profile application.
We also ask for social media links to not only see that you have examples of good photography, but are also active in wanting to promote your tokens to bring in new people to Hive. We also use the social links for verification.
Some people have been submitting only their Hive and/or Instagram. We can't find your best work that way.
We need to see a portfolio of your best work in a Google Drive Folder in order to whitelist you.
Not everyone will be accepted right now
That does not mean that you will not be whitelisted in the future. We are being picky on purpose. It's not a refelction of you at all. Keep working and practicing and try again in a couple of months.
If you would like to be considered, please join us on our Discord Server, go to Lensy.io connect your Hive account with Hive Keychain, and apply for our whitelist. Please provide a link to your portfolio when applying.
At this time we are only considering photographers with portfolios.
