This was Another Heaven's debut show, played at the Triple Rock. Ali Jaafar, the singer and guitarist, is formerly from a band called Hollow Boys which recently broke up. He took the music and formed a new band as a successor. They sound great together and I'm sure I'll be seeing them again.
I actually started my music photography while seeing the Hollow Boys a while back in 2016, with my old Nikon manual focus camera and a roll of 800 or 1600 film. I still haven't processed it. This was at the darkest venue around though, so I'm not expecting much from that roll!









They describe their music as gloom-pop and sludgegaze. Broadly I'd call their music shoegazey rock. And it's good. Check it out for yourself:
