Photonenblende, what kind of a crazy name! There are many reasons why I use a pseudonym. You can call me David. I'm a scientist based in Ulm/ Germany. But my profession is not the thing I would like to talk about. It's more my passion and this is photography. I do it since many years but it became more serious during the digital age. Since approx. 2016 I deal with editing and I started to upload my pics on flickr and 500px.
I would like to use steemit for giving some background informations and story's about my images and my motivation.
As a "photographer" I'm specialized on three topics:
- landscape
- decay and
- industrial/ technical works.
I know this will not be everybody's taste, but I hope some of you will like it. You can have a look at my full gallery via the link below.
I think there are enough words spoken now and I will start with my first capture and this will be my avatar.

Screw Compressor - (135 mm / f/9 / 1/60 s / ISO 200)
[Nikon D7200 / Tamron SP 24-135 mm f/3.5-5.6]
Can you imagine what it is? It’s a male and a female rotor of a screw compressor. Both are working hand in hand together, isn’t that nice ... . The blue colour of the image is not caused by the editing, it’s justified in the flash light setup. I used two blue cards as a reflector. All in all it took’s me 3 hours to build up the setup. And honestly it drove me crazy! Always adjusting the setup, taking the images, readjusting the setup ... . I’m very happy that I got some hours sleep that night as well. On the other side the editing was much less work. At the end of the day I sadly figured out, that studio work isn’t my favourite. I’m more the natures child. But as so often, motivation starts with an investment and therefore the flash lights weren’t used pretty much since that day ... .
I hope you like my first post. I’m very happy about any constructive feedback, just write it in the comments below. Thanks for coming!
Cheers,
David
