Here are a few of my Owl photographs that I rediscovered earlier today. As you know owls are classed as raptors, birds of prey with sharp beaks and talons, both of which are used to dispatch their prey with tremendous effect.
Contrary to belief owls can only turn their heads 270 degrees, that's about 135 degrees in each direction.
They are mainly nocturnal birds hunting mainly by sound which when raining hampers their ability to hear their prey scurrying about, owls hunt insects, small mammals and other birds.
