Hi Pig Herders!
We have received a lot of good feedback and we appreciate every time someone lets us know how we can make the user experience better.
Unfortunately we cannot do everything at once, so here is an overview on what we are currently working on.
Sounds
We are going to implement sound effects to give some audio feedback when a game starts, when it is your turn and when your turn is about to hit the timer.
Renewal of Bonus Pigs by Game Requests
It is not fair that some players lose bonus pigs, simply because there are no opponents available. Therefore, we are changing the way they renew to account for game requests instead of actual games played. That way, even if a game request times out, you can rest assured that the life of your bonus pigs has been extended.
Cashing out Grunts
We are also working on the ability to cash out your grunts into your Ethereum wallet. There will be a simple cash-out button and your grunts will move from the game into your Ethereum wallet. From there you can sell it, save it, transfer it or vote in the Piggericks smart contract.
Butcher
The most important thing that worries us right now is that players have a hard time selling their pigs. This is due to the fact that ethereum fees have skyrocketed over the past months, so that putting them on the market becomes impractical.
As such we are working on implementing a butcher feature that will pay slightly below market price for a pig and butcher it. This will ensure a cycle where players that want to unload pigs can do so in a simple and easy way (even if it may not be the best possible value).
We hope this will also make it easier for players to sell pigs on the market since it should establish the floor of what pigs are actually worth.
So stay tuned and please be patient as we are building these features. They will be released over the coming weeks.
Stay tuned
We have much more in store:
