Koi did however, get her name because of a fish. When @khaldeesi asked me what those pretty fish were called you see in ponds that have the gold and white, I told her they were called Koi. The color scheme on the fish prompted the name for this new pet.

I absolutely love her eyes.

It is an asymmetrical leopard gecko. Most of the ones you find, will have spots or bands that mostly appear as a design. This one, was more of a 'throw some paint on the floor and let it roll around' kind of markings. She is pretty though, and was almost named Stubby due to her chubby badonkadonk tail.

She's handled it enough now where it will give her little tickle licks on her nose instead of biting her fingers. It makes her happy and she takes pretty good care of it. I think her favorite part is watching it chase down a cricket and chomp it down. I got 5 HBI for any lizard friends you have and drop in the comments. Also, REMEMBER TO BE YOU!
