My Steemit journey has just started and I'm still on the phase of getting to know what I'm into. Just a few days ago, I realized that the ranks are named after sea creatures and I thought that was cool because I love fishes.
I haven't invited anyone yet to Steemit, I was going to start with my biologist friend, Abraham. He goes to the same dialysis center as I do, we bump at each other quite often. This morning, I sent him a message in Messenger, I excitedly told him that there is a potential to earn and all the other small details I know about the platform. He asked me if I have earned from it, like if I had actually withdrawn an amount as proof that it works. I said no, because I'm still learning how it works and I'm still a plankton. He replied with, "Did you just call yourself a plankton?" I said, "Yes, that's the first rank in Steemit and then you become a minnow, a dolphin, an orca, a whale and probably in the end you become a megalodon." LOL
It took him awhile to reply to my last message. Then he corrected me, that I was not a plankton but a plankter. Plankton is already plural and I should be referring to myself as a plankter instead, moving forward. Oh wow! What do I know? LOL

That's some good to know information. LOL I thought I'd share it here. Most of you probably know that already but anyway, some would be as clueless as me. He sent me some pictures of real plankton from his phone gallery and he allowed me to share it here as well.
I guess it follows that you cannot put an 's' at the end of plankton to make it plural because it already is plural and the singular form is plankter. We learn something new everyday. I hope my friend, Abraham joins me in my Steemit journey, it'd be cooler with him here sharing his Biology stuff all over the Steemit Planet.
