What it means to be anonymous
To live my life free of labels specifically created to isolate and shame,
Neither to show my face because then who is to blame these things on,
To lurk quietly with bystanders never knowing where I stand still,
Anonymity is a two-way street of respect two can prove,
I mind my business and you take care of yours will do,
It will pay us both dividends of freedom for a lifetime or more,
The joy of just existing not to impress anyone in particular,
You are you and I am me no willful impositions or pressure,
Luggage stowed neatly away as not to slip, trip, or fall,
Hidden in plain sight just to survey the views of other sentient beings,
Namelessness is the inspiration of mystery and certainly some intrigue,
Ethereal in my presence here a shadow on the walls spying like a bat,
This is all simply described and cataloged on this chain,
A short quip to tell a story where there is no defining character but words,
This is what it means to be anionymous.
