Thine Log Of Wonder

The following composition was originally written by myself as a festive carol for St. Anne’s Church, Rogerstone. Although I did enjoy coming among the congregation, particularly to hear the very apt organist, I was subsequently banned from reciting euphemistic prose in public. Hopefully, you will all enjoy it a bit more than they did.
—
In winter snow, how doest thou grow
to warm thy hands around thee?
O come to love, thy seraphym
Lest biting colds await thee.
Thine Yuletide Log of Wonder!
Thy majestic grace!
O come, take up thine yuletide log,
thy love to warm thy face.
O winter wind, how doest thou blow
with cruel and bitter tide?
O come thy love, to yuletide log
With thee we shall abide.
Thine Yuletide Log of Wonder!
Thy majestic grace!
O come, take up thine yuletide log,
thy love to warm thy face.
