Im a broken man with twisted dreams
I've seen near, far, and in between..... and honestly? ....Nothing satisfies.
I've climbed mountains, hills and mango trees, crawled through thick cold mud and thin riveins,
Staked my claim in hopes that history will carry me to the other side.
I've fought fights and won great victories, I've loss some, but if you ask "Mr. Me"
I'm still the greatest thing I've ever seen- the greatest thing since pumpkin pie.
I've seen death, loss, and poverty, wealth I've only had in monopoly, I've tasted great to mediocrity, but even great kings one day die.
I've seen a lot, but foggy eyes deceive and tunnel vision often makes belief originate from shallow incomplete self-made snapshots of this life.
And so I'm late cuz there's a part of me that hates the crowd and just would probably rather crawl into bed than "come and see" rather crawl into bed and hide.
Caught up in my insecurity I find the worst in you, but not in me..dwelling on them til' they turn the key that unlocks my selfish pride.
I'm Angry at the worlds' hypocrisy as if the world owed an apology for its deadly day atrocities it seems to almost always provide.
So I complain & complain til' parts of me hold bitterness like a sponge in sea and I miss the kiss of harmony stemmed from "good" and "bad's" collide.
Bitterness, hate, and uncertainty seem to foster up in you and me a prideful damning anti-chivalry because we've failed to realize ...That nothing
..wait...
Let me think...
...nope... That's right...
NOTHING Satisfies
So...
My guess is life's not all about the "me"; about the "you" the "she" the "he" or "we" ... Maybe life's simply about the "come and see" ...because the "come and see" brings life.
