If you wondered why Trump picked William Barr as Attorney General, here is yet another example of "who's policing the policing?" and as George Carlin once eloquently said "It's A BIG Club & You Ain't In It!"
As I've said before, the US political system is a duopoly. Regardless of which party wins, both sides have the ultimate goal of maintaining the wealth of those at the top. The best way to achieve this is to rig the system against the 99% at the bottom. Half of them were brainwashed into electing Trump who intended to do just that, but in reality Hillary would have done the exact same thing.
Before Bill Clinton was elected, the Democratic party was the party that looked after the 99% (to some degree), but Clinton steered the Democratic party to being the very thing that the Republican party proudly is: the party of big business interests.
What the US political system needs is a third party, now more than ever. Take a glance at most countries around the world, and you'll see more than two viable parties. The two party system in the US is owned and controlled by the top 0.1%, and neither party is interested in narrowing the wealth gap. Many voters vote for one or the other hoping that this time will be different.
News flash, it will never be different.
Long term, how does the US prevent itself from Feudalism? I would argue that it cannot without the people taking the power back. But, looking at the 2016 election it's clear that most Americans want to give as much power as they can to the elite at the top, whether the left hand or the right. If America wants a government that works for the people and holds criminals accountable, they would vote in a 3rd party, consequences be damned. But I highly doubt this can or will happen, and neo-feudalism will continue to take hold there. Ownership of property will become a thing of the past for the bottom 99%, and in reality it already is halfway there as few people outright own their house, or anything of value anymore, and most are in debt with a negative net worth.
Welcome to the new age, where Americans had a chance to set things right, but continued to be indoctrinated into the left-right delusion that keeps them hypnotized to the ongoing wealth transfer.
