This new unity is outrageous and founded on absurdity not sincerity. Those who take a share in it are bigots and haters. They are haters of Trump dedicated to soil him at any chance. It was first that he did not address the nation early enough and then there was a fault on violence on all sides and consequent outrage on holding his ground. Now everyone is chatty, including spineless Republican Senators and partisan business moguls, mending public image on a baseless argument.
There is no right path on a lane of violence. And if there was violence by both alt left and alt right, will it be right to commend the alt left and damn innocent protesters with whitesupremacist? Minding that the protesters had a permit to protest, which the other sect did not have, on a course of what history was. In Donald’s Trump words,
“we condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred bigotry and violence. It has no place in America.”
“Well I think the driver of the car is a disgrace to his self, his family and this country. You can call it terrorism, murder… I will just call it the fastest one to up with the verdict.”
These deriving from an objective viewpoint upturned by guilt-seeking media. Now the furious media when he attacked Islamic terrorists during campaign is presenting him with a choice between two evils. But this time it has cast an illusion of unity, with spineless Republicans like Marco Rubio tweeting that:
“The organizers of events which inspired and led to #charlottesvilleterroristattack are 100% to blame…””Mr President, you can’t allow #WhiteSupremacists to share only part of blame. They support idea which cost nation and world so much pain. The White Supremacy groups will see being assigned only 50% as a win. We cannot allow this old evil to be resurrected.”
This is obviously not a clear analysis of the whole situation and regardless of media rant of moral equivalence; violence cannot be justified on either side. And it will be pure folly to commend the alt left for being equally vicious without a name-tag.
The organizers were right in seeking permit to protest against rewriting culture and history. The Robert E Lee statute in question was a 1920 confederate statute; a piece in history that cannot be unwritten. These statutes paint of how human evolved from a state of ignorance to respect one another regardless of race or color. Those event happened and their memories should expel us away from their ignorance and not bind us by them. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other founding fathers were slave masters. The constitution has (amended) slavery clause but we have not jettisoned it. People have a right to question anyone seeking to unmake history.
Instead of instigate an ill founded revolution; why not give Donald Trump a chance to do his job? Employment and stock market are on the spike, why not give him an chance with infrastructure? To come at him this way is cheap not matter who is buying in. So when Doug McMillon of Walmart says things like
“as we watched the events and the response from President Trump over the weekend, we too felt that he missed a critical opportunity to help bring our country together by unequivocally rejecting the appalling actions of white supremacists,”
It is for public image and media approval not national devotion.
What should be in consideration is the commendation of Trump by the deceased’s mother. Violence killed her daughter not the name-tag.
