This year has seen Syrian president Assad and allies doing a good job cleaning up the country of rebel (terrorist) held areas, despite financial and political backing from the west. The Syrian government is ready to get rid of another major 'rebel'-terrorist stronghold area in the Idlib province with the help of Russia.

Western governments and media are condemning the plan by claiming innocent Syrians themselves are at risk. The real attackers of civilians have been the terrorists who have been given so much support by the US and allies to fund and supply an attempt to overthrow Syrian president Assad. Even President Trump is playing into this narrative in a Tweet this week.
President Bashar al-Assad of Syria must not recklessly attack Idlib Province. The Russians and Iranians would be making a grave humanitarian mistake to take part in this potential human tragedy. Hundreds of thousands of people could be killed. Don’t let that happen!

Last week Syria's Permanent UN Representative Bashir al-Jaafari gave a [speech to the UN providing evidence of a forthcoming false flag chemical attack against Syrian civilians. The fake news chemical attacks this past April and the real attack of last April 2017 were blamed on the Syrian government, but it was not them. Assad wouldn't attack his own people when he was winning the war against the fake rebels who are terrorists.
The chemical weapons are being smuggled into Idlib, which has been admitted to be a terrorist stronghold last year by the US, despite their recent change in tune that assumes an attack on Idlib would result in mainly innocent Syrians being hurt. Top counterterrorism officials, including Brett McGurk – the U.S. government’s Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL (Daesh, ISIS), have previously assessed Idlib as "the largest Al Qaeda safe haven since 9/11 tied directly to Ayman al-Zawahiri [current leader of Al Qaeda]."
It's been admitted that Idlib is a huge problem for hosting a huge presence of Al Quaeda. But now that the Syrian government is ready to take back control and greatly reduce the opposition, the US and allies don't seem to want it. Maybe it's because they helped to fund and create that presence. McGurk admitted last year that the terrorist presence was helped by foreign governments in their attempt to overthrow Assad:
"to send in tens of thousands of tons of weapons and looking the other way as foreign fighters come into Syria may not have been the best approach. Al Qaeda has taken full advantage of it and Idlib now is a huge problem."

And before that, the Washington Post already stated Idlib was "the biggest surviving rebel stronghold in northern Syria" which was "falling under the control of Al Qaeda-linked extremists." The more moderate 'rebels' in the area had stated the Al-Qaeda ideology was "spreading everywhere" and "controlling every aspect of life". Oops. The 'moderate' rebels lost control and the more 'extreme' opposition took over. Go figure.
Now, Trump and administration officials aren't talking about this reality, even though the situation hasn't hanged. They have no problem bombing Syria and feeding weapons to the so-called 'rebels' that started a war in Syria, but they don't want to let Assad clean up the mess they helped create.
How easy the media 'forgets' what they states last year about the situation in order to server political agendas that put Syrian lives at risk. The media in openly in a confused state of double-think, trying to paint the 'rebels' as 'freedom fighters' fighting for regime change on behalf of the Syrian people, while admitting they are "affiliated with Al-Qaeda".
Instead of the US government helping the alleged civilian-initiated fight to topple Assad in a regime change, they admit their objectives in Syria have changed. Now it's about stopping the "Iranian menace", as stated by National Security Adviser John Bolton. This justifies current and future US meddling in Syria. Israel is also involved in the new scam, as it admittedly carried out 202 strikes on Iranian targets in Syria.
The new agenda is to target Iran while defending Al Qaeda, since Iran has also been helping to fight Al Qaeda along with the Syrian government for the past 7 years. What a big joke the world is.
