Since the election, the Left has been hysterical about every Executive Order, every Cabinet and Supreme Court nomination, even perceived wrongs that haven't even been committed.
As it turns out, all it takes for Pro-Choice Liberals to flinch in their principles is to be confronted by an Education Department nominee who supports school choice.
After a strong resistance to Secretary of Education nominee Betsy DeVos, you'd think the world was going to end. One of my newest Twitter follows laid out a hilarious case of everything that could go wrong with Secretary DeVos' confirmation.
Imagine what will happen when the Trump administration does something notably treacherous? The Boy that Cried Wolf might cause the hysteria-numbed masses to miss it.*
*PS. Tariffs, Drone strikes, and federalistic intervention in Chicago are all very bad Trump ideas/policies. This was not to assert that he's been infallible!
- It's been an hour since the US Senate confirmed Betsy DeVos as education secretary. Do you know where your children are? ?
- Hour 2: reports of tens of thousands of America's children forced to undergo gay conversion therapy - even the straight ones!
- Hour 3: DeVos orders all medical schools to replace their textbooks with Mary Baker Eddy's "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
- Hour 4: DeVos issues edict ordering kindergarteners play & "Duck, Duck, Climate Change is a Lie"; each morning.
- Hour 5: Reports emerging that DeVos has mandated NRA membership cards be stapled to the report cards of all third graders.
- Hour 6: DeVos updated DOE American history curricula to include the phrase "Elizabeth Warren's ancestors weren't at the first Thanksgiving."
- Hour 7: DeVos has enlisted all American seventh graders as Amway sales reps. You're all getting multipurpose cleaner for Christmas. '
- Hour 8: DeVos has named Trump University an accredited institution. Meanwhile, Smith College has been designated a terrorist organization.
- Hour 9: DeVos rules that teachers must now work 12 months and bring their own apples. Also, they can't have birth control anymore.
- Hour 10: Calling it a "reprioritization," DeVos replaces MLK Day school closure with "off day" for Ronald Reagan's nephew's dog's birthday.
- Hour 11: DeVos issues decree that all students must wear school uniforms sewn by Amish clothier “Plain Stitches” of Lancaster, Penn.
- Hour 12: DeVos announces nationwide “good behavior” initiative. Gold star students receive honor of vacuuming her cars.
With all this confirmed madness, I have to say it... The Liberals were right.
