The advantage of PPA:
The PPA's objective is to improve the best of strength in the place through a cooperative effort the various utilities, personal area, and nearby aid donors. The PPA's contributors pool their resources and knowledge for his or her commonplace benefit, advantage worldwide representation and enhance access to worldwide strength sector help applications. The PPA gives direct links between the non-public area and member utilities to improve private sector services and hence make their presence in the location greater productive.
Limitations/Disadvantages of PPA:
Though was established for regional balance and opportunities but sometimes it may create regional conflicts of working in different jurisdictions. Not all these utilities have participated to-date in Pacific benchmarking scheme that they have. The majority, but not all, of power utilities servicing these islands, are in public ownership. In some cases where public ownership is retained, there is subcontracting and leasing or operation of facilities to private enterprise. As they trying to convert them but couldn’t make it happen properly. And it may arise regional or inter-country conflicts.
