As my followers will know, I had surgery on Friday to remove some hemorrhoids that have been causing me bleeding. I was in no pain leading up to the surgery. After surgery I'm in a shit ton of pain. Agghhhhh...
Perhaps the worst part of the whole ordeal so far has been the fact that as of this morning I had not had a bowel movement since before the surgery. I knew there was stuff up in there that really wanted to come out, but it was plain stuck.
This morning I mustered the courage to get in the car and head to Walgreen's to pick up some Milk of Magnesia. It was time to get this foul demon out of my body.
I don't know how many of you are religious, or use prayer, but let me tell you, I was sitting on the toilet praying that the crap would leave my body. Sweating and straining (which is a no no after surgery) and getting tiny little flakes of crud for my efforts.
I took the MoM around 9am, and by mid afternoon I was having a little bit of success getting some stool out. The biggest problem, the pain medications that they give you after surgery cause constipation. So you don't want me to strain, but you are giving me something that is nearly guaranteed to make it impossible to poop? There seems to be an issue here.
And then, finally, after a lot of limited success, it finally happened. The plug let go, the dam burst and opened the floodgates.

To say it was a relief would be an understatement. I feel so much better after finally getting rid of all that backed up stool. Of course there was more payment to make, as the MoM wasn't done with me. It took awhile to stop having the runs. In fact, I'm not entirely sure MoM's done with me yet. But at least I feel up to watching a little TV and typing out the experience.
Sorry for the graphic nature of this post. It is what I am going through, so it is what you get to enjoy with me today. You've got some bad luck. hahaha
