Every time I remember how my days went throughout last year, I am always grateful. And it has indeed brought along a lot of changes to my existence, taught me a lot of life lessons, and also triggered me to move forward.
One thing I know is the fact that “we make plans and take decisions, but God remains the mastermind to all of these decisions we are making”.
December 2022
The year I passed out from serving my country. I thought life would be so easygoing afterwards though I was scared at some point when it was about to end. But I stood strong.
During my service year, I was able to make some passive earnings through Hive and got a sustainable and normal life compared to living and being dependent on my allowances. Hive aided me in that regard. And I am grateful.
Moving on to life after service, when I got home and had no more allowance, I realized that the little tokens I had been earning on hive passively couldn’t solve a dime out of my responsibilities. I got into huge debt just a few weeks after passing out. Then I couldn’t stop myself from powering down all of the hive power I had accumulated for that time. It wasn't much then but it assisted in its little way till the year ended.
January- December 2023
Life went on. Last year was also like this year’s January. Everyone started writing their New Year resolution and their proposed achievement for the year. In the end, I was still so confused, I didn't even know what to write, and I didn't know where my life was heading. But I knew Hive is and will always be a part of my journey so I held on to it and also took it with all my heart.
I began to write and engage a lot, but I never set any target for myself. I just have the mindset of getting to some meaningful point before the year ends.
The first quarter of 2023 got me so active and I was able to build a lot of hive power within that short time. I got motivated. It was the first time I got the monthly author award and many other wins too. But yet, I realized hive can't serve as an active source of income for me. But as a side hustle. So I had to make another decision which changed everything till the end of the year.
I enrolled for training and it took away my precious time spent online. I am not able to meet up with the active ways I did before. I couldn’t make it that much. But I still made sure I kept posting despite the tough times.
January - December 2024
For this year's resolution, I want to dream big and aim higher. I know it won't come as easy as anticipated due to unforeseen circumstances. But I will try my best to accomplish some if not all of these.
I set a target for myself to get to 1500hp or above by the end of the year. How will I accomplish this? By buying more Hive and also setting my rewards payouts to 100% hp. With this, I believe my journey towards accomplishing this will come easier
Aiming for the yearly author badge. I had this in mind last year, but at some point, I failed. Not due to lack of determination, but I just can’t help myself then. This time around I am aiming for the badge and I believe I will get it. Making at least a post all day till the year runs to an end.
Saving at least 1 hive per day till bull run. Rumors have been flying around that this is the year of halving and the bull run. So not to fall short and miss out on the opportunity. I have plans on saving liquid Hive tokens each day till Hive gets a huge pump where I can make profits from it.
Engagement. I also have to engage more. Not just about making posts and leaving them. Engagement is key. So I have plans on visiting at least 10 posts from different users per day.
Like I said earlier we make plans but only God makes them something to be executed. I will try my best and I hope I make a good testimony reflecting and referencing this post again this time next year. Thank you.
