Today I'm introducing you to my favorite beer among the recent imports to my country: Unlaguer.
I decided to enter it in this week's contest.
This is #beersaturday week, and I'd like to invite @roswelborges to write a post in any language about beer, with at least three images.
I discovered this beer last Saturday when I invited my mom out. I hadn't seen her in months, and I wanted to spend some quality time with her.
So we headed out to La Chela to buy a couple of beers and chat a bit, to get her out of the house routine.
They had several beers on the menu, but this brand caught my attention because of the color scheme on the can and, above all, its name.
In my country, when we invite each other over for a beer, we say, Let's have a lager, because, according to Wikipedia, the term "lager" comes from the German word for "storage," as beer was traditionally stored before consumption in the same cold cellars where it fermented.
Lager comes from the German word "Lagerbier." It referred to all types of bottom-fermented, cold-conditioned, and normal-alcohol beers.
So the name Unlaguer caught my eye, and I decided to buy a couple for both of us.
Unlaguer is a Pilsner beer, with a malty note that I really like in beers and a rather attractive amber color.
My mom liked it too, even though she's not a big beer drinker.
But today was a special occasion.
Speaking of etymologies, we asked the owner of the place where the name came from, and she told us it came from a combination of her name (Rachel) and that of her favorite drink: La Michelada.
Also because in Mexico, where he lived for a while, that's what they call beer.
I had a feeling about the michelada, but I didn't know the rest.
As I said before, the plan was to buy a couple of beers for the two of us, but we ended up buying six.
It was a special occasion with my mother. A special occasion, a special person, and a very special beer.
I highly recommend them.

Hoy les presento la cerveza que más me ha gustado de las últimas importaciones a mi país: Unlaguer.
Con ella decidí participar en el concurso de esta semana.
Esta es la semana #beersaturday y quisiera invitar a @roswelborges para escribir un post en cualquier lenguaje sobre la cerveza, con al menos 3 imágenes.
Descubrí esta cerveza el pasado sábado cuando invité a salir a mi mamá. Llevaba meses sin verla y quise pasar un buen rato con ella.
Así que salimos hacia el bar La Chela para comprar un par de cervezas y conversar un poco, y así sacarla de la rutina de la casa.
Tenían varias cervezas en la carta pero esta marca llamó mi atención por el diseño de colores de la lata y sobre todo, por el nombre.
En mi país, cuando nos invitábamos a tomar una cerveza, nos decimos: Vamos a tomarnos un lager, debido a que, según Wikipedia, el término "lager" proviene de la palabra alemana para "almacenamiento", ya que la cerveza se almacenaba antes de consumirse, tradicionalmente en las mismas cuevas frías donde fermentaba.
Lager proviene de la palabra alemana «Lagerbier». Se refería a todo tipo de cerveza de fermentación baja , acondicionada en frío y de graduación alcohólica normal.
De modo que el nombre de Unlaguer me atrapó y decí comprar un par para los dos.
Unlaguer es una cerveza Pilsner, con un toque malteado que me gusta mucho en las cervezas y un color ámbar bastante atractivo a la vista.
A mi mamá también le gustó y eso que ella no es de beber mucha cerveza.
Pero hoy era una ocasión especial.
Y hablando de etimologías le preguntamos a la dueña del lugar de dónde provenía el nombre y nos dijo que provenía de la mezcla de su nombre (Rachel) con el de su bebida preferida: La Michelada.
También porque en México, donde vivió un tiempo, así se le dice a la cerveza.
Yo intuía lo de la michelada, pero desconocía el resto.
Como dije anteriormente el plan era comprar un par de cervezas para los dos pero acabamos comprando seis.
Fue una ocasión especial junto a mi madre. Ocasión especial, persona especial y una cerveza muy especial.
Se las recomiendo.
