Well, this one might sound like asking a married man if he still gets aroused every time he sees his wife's naked breasts. But hey, there have to be exceptions, right? So, let's talk crypto and why we should be excited about it. Forget the useless FUD, the SEC, the regulators, and all the other fuckery surrounding it.
As @taskmaster4450 has repeatedly said on Hive, authorities can't regulate at the pace the crypto industry can develop. All the shit happening in crypto right now is designed to pull the train back so that whales can load up on more cheap coins from panicked investors. It's that simple. It happens every cycle, and with each cycle, crypto becomes stronger.
There are thousands of projects that won't make it in the future. That's just natural. There are always winners and losers, and not all of us can be winners. The same thing goes on in the crypto industry.
So, now, let's get to the question around which I want to wrap up this #askleo post (a type of post intended to boost engagement on @leofinance that I started a couple of years ago): Are you excited about crypto's future?
First and foremost, I want to mention that what I'm seeing right now in the crypto community isn't much excitement. There are quite a few who have had their trust shaken by a typical bull market correction like the current one we have in crypto. As mentioned earlier, same shit every cycle, nothing new under the sun.
However, there's a lot to be excited about in crypto right now. Just by seeing how oppressive and power-hungry governments have become, it makes me believe in crypto even more and see its potential as a foundation for a "decentralized future" that empowers the individual instead of corporations. That's why I'm not excited about BlackRock and Bitcoin...
I'm excited about Hive because we've all seen over the past couple of years what a powerful tool the media is and how it's being wrongly used by those who control it against us. It's time we take back such liberty and decentralize its usability. It hurts my feelings when I see people like Jack Dorsey, who are actively involved in "decentralizing the media," completely ignoring Hive.
However, I'm certain that people like him won't be in the spotlight when decentralized media finally starts to kick ass. You'd be amazed, but @khaleelkazi has a high chance of getting into the spotlight, much like Ned Scott did for a while, and playing his game right. Leofinance is becoming something.
Sure, it has quite a few technical and other sorts of flaws, but progress without error is not possible. So, what else am I excited about?
Well, the metaverse. We are years away from even catching a glimpse of it, but we will undoubtedly have the chance to build our parallel identities, virtual homes, businesses, and virtual communities in such a realm. I might even have the chance to finally own my own business once the metaverse becomes something. And trust me when I say: "the metaverse won't use cash"...
Then there's AI. I'm a bit cautious about it because if it takes control of too many decision-making factors in our society, we're literally fucked up. But if AI plays it safe, it will need crypto to thrive, and that gives me confidence in crypto's glorious future as well.
So far, I've never had any type of passive income. But as mentioned in a few of my previous posts, I want to build a decent passive income through HBD savings once the bull market peaks. Being able to earn at least my monthly necessities through passive earnings would be great for me...
What else?
Well, gaming... I'm not much into gaming. I believe the last game I played and completely finished was about 15 years ago. But I like the idea of #playtoearn. I don't enjoy the fun factor of the current games we have. However, I believe that giants like EA Sports, PlayStation, and other gaming moguls will enter the "tokenized gaming" arena, and I expect crypto to be highly integrated into many new or existing games in the future.
You see, many times we overlook the core values of crypto by paying too much attention to the dollar valuation of these assets. But at the end of the day, what we're overlooking is what actually matters the most. Dollars are nothing more than dirty fiat inflated through debt and consumerism. Meanwhile, crypto aims to be built on core principles that put the individual above corporations and centralization.
Anyway, this shitty #askleo post has gone too far, and I guess you've already got the gist of it. I'm curious to find out how excited you are about crypto's future and what exactly excites you the most.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
