I don't usually listen to the radio and when I do, I usually do that because "I'm forced to"... Today, while getting back from the gym with a couple of friends in the car we had the radio turned on(not my car), and it was news time... Lucky me... I love the news so much :).
Anyway... One topic discussed on the radio at that time that caught my attention was South Korea ditching cash almost entirely and encouraging its citizens to use IDs that can be stored on a mobile phone, which means that one no longer has to carry a physical ID on him all the time.
So convenient, right? Well, that's the case for now, until RFID microchips are required for all sorts of transactions and mundane activities involving identification. This is when "the fun" will begin, and my hopes are such an era will not come during my lifetime.
Whoever liked communism will love technocracy... This was one of my reactions towards my gym mates while listening to that particular news on the radio having South Korea as a subject. So... What is a technocracy?
Well...
Technocracy is a political and economic system that emphasizes the role of experts and scientists in decision-making. The term "technocracy" comes from the Greek words "techne," meaning "skill" or "craft," and "kratos," meaning "power" or "rule."
Damn Greeks... Kidding, Greeks have nothing to do with this shit, but before getting into details on how technocracy will be worse than communism let's look at what made communism a pain in the ass for the "free citizens" of ex-communist countries. My country, Romania, is such an example.
Back in the good old days of communism in our country, we didn't have free media. All the media outlets belonged to the government and whatever was broadcasted on live television or radio, or typed in a newspaper was first churned by the communist leaders and nothing got out of that well bordered circle.
Propaganda was the name of the game for the use of such media thus you would never hear anything bad on TV about the communist leader or the system as a whole and you could not have such talks in real life either, cuz of the "secret police". You never knew who was policing you for being too much of an open mouth.
Yeah, it was that bad...
One of the most painful things that my elderly had to live through was the lack of freedom to travel. Just a few had permission to leave the country and some of them never came back... Yeah, it was that bad... Not to mention food, fuel, and other commodities shortages... I guess that's why we flooded Europe once our borders got opened and almost any county we would get to felt like heaven.
Now let's have a look at how technocracy can be worse than communism and also pay attention to how "communism has inspired technocrats" over time.
Technocracy is a political and economic system that emphasizes the role of experts and scientists in decision-making, says the definition of technocracy. Does that sound familiar? Up until a year ago, it was these experts and scientists that decided our liberties and freedoms to travel(and not only). I don't know how the pandemic felt to you but to me, it was like communism on steroids.
I mentioned a few paragraphs earlier that censorship is part of the propaganda and influencing the masses game in a communist type of governance and trust me when I say that when these fuckers are going to gain total control over the internet, and in this regard, we already have early signs of such attempts through the TikTok ban that's attempted in the US, and when the fuckers will couple that with AI, you will only get to read and believe what the system will dictate and you will love that :)).
Did anyone say anything about secret police? Well, folks... We carry such officers in our pockets day and night. Smart phones, smart watches, smart homes, smart cities. Why do you think these are so smart? For your benefit? Think again...
Many of the Romanians wanted to leave the country during communism and couldn't do that, some got drowned in the Danube by trying to do that while forcing themselves to swim to Serbia and move to Europe from there, in case they didn't get caught, drown or get shoot at. Some did made it, and moved to countries such as Germany, and Austria or even went further in their hustle and ended up in America or Canada.
Technology is going to make such control even easier... EVs, digital IDs, digital cash, social credit scores, carbon credits... You do the math. So, if any of you liked communism then you're gonna definitely love technocracy.
I know that many of you think all of these ideas are just conspiracy theories and probably you had enough of these from my side by now, but just remember how we've all been harassed during the pandemic and also consider that some of the measures imposed during the pandemic were forecasted by some of these so-called conspiracy theorists.
Connecting the dots and all this societal plague that we are currently living with will make so much sense in the future.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
