When I started using Twitter all I did was post some random pics here and now and follow a bunch of individuals that I personally knew who were doing pretty much the same. One girlfriend even told me once that Twitter is an American app and I'm probably one of the few Europeans that are using it.
What makes Facebook then?... That was my reaction at that time.
My experience with Twitter changed over time and I no longer use it just to post photographs here and now, I'm most active over there(especially as a content consumer) due to crypto... Twitter is not Hive, will never be like it, but it is still worth using it.
Jack Dorsey tried to "revamp twitter" and he ended up leaving it... Elon Musk "promised" to buy it and make it the platform of the people and for the people, also announcing lately that if he signs the $44 billion deal, he's gonna fire 75% of the staff, and now the government doesn't let him do that...
Can you imagine that? A first-world government is on the cusp of blocking Elon Musk from acquiring Twitter. I bet Elon Musk will not mind that... and you know why? Cuz Twitter is worth less than $10 billion now and Musk is supposed to pay $44 billion for it, according to the settlement.
How did we get here? Well, the deal was that Musk would pay $44 billion for Twitter(buying all of the shares basically) and his dream was to make the platform a consorship-free one. This was probably an emotional decision, cuz later on the moghul came out and said that he was really aiming at buying Twitter, but he won't pay for bots...
Then Twitter took him to court so the court would oblige him to settle the deal as it was done/planned before the bots drama... Musk wasn't willing to settle the deal anymore, so what did he do? He invented a story...
He recently came out on Twitter and said that "he talked to Putin" and also proposed that the war in Ukraine ends and according to such a deal Putin gets his desired territories from Ukraine. He also hinted at halting Starling internet services provided to Ukraine which cost him about $20 million a month...
And...
That's when the deep state(government) saw him as a threat and the news came out that "the Biden administration is discussing whether the US should subject some of Elon Musk’s ventures to national security reviews, including the deal for Twitter and SpaceX’s Starlink satellite network".
Good job, Elon... Now you don't have to buy Twitter anymore, a clearly overpriced company, and also managed to expose the influence the American deep state has in both national and international affairs. I'm not expecting anyone of the likes of Elon Musk or Kanye West to ever join Hive, but such situations once again make the value of Hive shine.
The price might be dipping, but the fundamentals scream. I'm not yet convinced whether Elon Musk is the man of the elites or not, but he acts as if he's not... We are, however, living long predicted times of clear and obvious censorship of totalitarian powers that are showing their teeth in broad light too often lately.
Why does the government have to interfere in a billionaire's decision to buy a social media platform just because he said he talked to Putin, the man who is at war with Ukraine, a country that was so often criticized by the American media for being one of the most corrupt countries in the world and so heavily supported now(with taxpayer money) by America?
Why?
Thanks for your attention,
