Running the year 2011 or maybe early 2012 and a friend told me that I would leave on my laptop some anime I had downloaded and was sure I would like, I neither short nor lazy I lent it to him and among the anime was the first season of an anime that this year reached its fifth installment, I speak of Ao Not Exorcist.
The plot of this anime focuses on a boy who is the son of Satan and a human, has grown up believing himself normal, but when he was 15 years old he discovers the truth, as if this were not enough to digest, his adoptive father Shiro Fujimoto, dies that night trying to save him because Satan attacks with all his strength to take him to hell and wake him up as a demon.
The protagonist Rin discovers that his adoptive father raised him knowing the truth, also that his twin brother does not have the powers of a demon and that both were exorcists, and later that his father had at the time of his death the highest rank of the order of exorcists, the Paladin.
Now, in this first season that lasted 23 episodes made many of us believe that that was all there was to see - that's why it is important to look for the manga or at least information - the reason was that the company that decided to take the manga to anime from about chapter 15 put a filler to give it an ending, because they thought it would not take more seasons on the screen. That same year they gave us a movie as a bonus.
After some time without knowing about it I thought there would be nothing more to see, but thanks to some publications of the community I discovered that they had continued with the anime and searching I discovered that in 2017 came out its second season (Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen) which focused on a parallel story located in the same timeline of the first, but in Kyoto where three of the characters of the series Ryuji Suguro, Konekomaru Miwa, Renzo Shima are from, in this one they also gave us an ova that is determinant to understand a little of what is to come (Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen OVA).
By 2024 in the third season (Ao no Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati-hen) we see Rin and his companions discover that there is an organization called the Illuminati who declare war on the Order of the True Cross and kidnap one of Rin's companions, because Lucifer, who is the strongest son of Satan, needs her for his plans. In addition, one of her companions unexpectedly betrays them.
The fourth season (Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no Hate-hen) which also arrived in 2024 focuses a little more on who has become Rin's teacher, Shura Kirigakure, on how there are more and more high-ranking demons appearing and how Yukio is tormented by the doubts of his past and the power that is harbored in him, in addition to the seed of doubt that Lucifer planted in him during the third season is growing little by little. In addition to a fracture between the brothers that leaves Rin and his friends devastated.
Now, the most recent season arrived in January of this 2025 (Ao no Exorcist: Yosuga-hen) in it we give Rin a trip to the past, where he knows in detail the past of his mother Yuri, that of Shiro, and even how Satan approached his mother and there we can get some answers to many questions we had, in addition to presenting a rather raw and tragic story.
The so far five seasons have presented us with stages and emotions of the characters in the series, their growth and changes, there is humor, drama and even crying plus unique characters that we fall in love with, for example I love Kuro who was first related to Shiro and then Rin, plus Ukobach a small demon who is related to Mephisto and a cooking spirit who prepares meals for Yukio and Rin and we can not leave out Nii a very small Greenman who is summoned by Shiemi and who is certainly powerful.
Something else I liked about the series is to see how the family conflicts of the characters are resolved as time goes by for some more than others, but certainly the treatment between them and the stay at the academy, is changing them little by little, I do not know about you, but I'm waiting for the sixth season, that final scene of the fifth season left me wanting more.

La trama de este anime se centra en un chico que es hijo de satán y de una humana, ha crecido creyéndose normal, pero cuando tenía 15 años descubre la verdad, como si esto fuera poco para digerir, su padre adoptivo Shiro Fujimoto, muere esa mimsa noche tratando de salvarlo porque satán ataca con todas sus fuerzas para llevárselo al infierno y despertarlo como demonio.
El protagonista Rin descubre que su padre adoptivo lo crio sabiendo la verdad, también que su hermano gemelo, no tiene los poderes de un demonio y que ambos eran exorcistas, y más adelante que su padre tenía al momento de morir el más alto rango de la orden de los exorcistas, el de Paladín.
Ahora bien, en esta primera temporada que duro 23 episodios nos hizo creer a muchos que eso era todo lo que había que ver- por eso es importante buscar los mangas o al menos información- la razón fue que la compañía que decidió llevar el manga a anime desde aproximadamente el capítulo 15 metió un relleno para darle un final, pues creyó no se llevarían más temporadas la pantalla. Ese mismo año nos dieron como bono una película.
Al pasar un tiempo sin saber de ella yo creí que no habría anda más que ver, pero gracias a algunas publicaciones de la comunidad descubrí que habían continuado con el anime y buscando descubrí que en 2017 salió su segunda temporada (Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen) la cual se centró en una historia paralela ubicada en la misma linea de tiempo de la primera, pero en Kyoto de donde son tres de los personajes de la serie Ryuji Suguro, Konekomaru Miwa, Renzo Shima, en esta también nos dieron una ova que es determinante para comprender un poco lo que está por venir (Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen OVA).
Para 2024 en la tercera temporada (Ao no Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati-hen) vemos a Rin y sus compañeros descubren que existe una organización llamada los Illuminati quienes declaran la Guerra a La Orden de la Verdadera Cruz y secuestran a una de las compañeras de Rin, porque Lucifer, quien es el hijo más fuerte de Satán, la necesita para sus planes. Además, de que uno de sus compañeros los traiciona de forma inesperada.
La cuarta temporada (Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no Hate-hen) la cual también llego en 2024 se centra un poco más de quien se ha convertido en la maestra de Rin, Shura Kirigakure, en como cada vez hay más demonios de alto rango apareciendo y como Yukio está atormentado ante las dudas de su pasado y del poder que se alberga en él, además de que la semilla de la duda que sembró Lucifer en él durante la tercera temporada va creciendo poco a poco. Además de una fractura entre los hermanos que deja Rin y a sus amigos desolados.
Ahora bien, la más reciente temporada llego en enero de este 2025 (Ao no Exorcist: Yosuga-hen) en ella damos junto a Rin un viaje al pasado, donde conoce en detalle el pasado de su madre Yuri, el de Shiro, e incluso como satán se acercó a su madre y allí podemos obtener algunas respuestas de muchas preguntas que teníamos, además de presentarnos una historia bastante cruda y trágica.
Las hasta ahora las cinco temporadas nos han presentado etapas y emociones de los personajes de la serie, su crecimiento y cambios, hay humor, drama y hasta llanto además de personajes únicos que nos enamoran a mí por ejemplo me encantan Kuro quien fuera primero familiar de Shiro y luego de Rin, además de Ukobach un demonio pequeño que es familiar de Mephisto y un espíritu de cocina que prepara las comidas de Yukio y Rin y no podemos dejar por fuera Nii un Greenman muy pequeño quien es invocado por Shiemi y que sin duda es poderoso.
Algo más que me ha gustado de la serie es ver como se van resolviendo los conflictos familiares de los personajes a medida que pasa el tiempo para unos más que para otros, pero sin duda el trato entre ellos y la estadía en la academia, los va cambiando poco a poco, yo no sé ustedes, pero yo estoy a la espera de la sexta temporada, esa escena final de la quinta temporada me dejo con ganas de más.
