Just on Sunday evening I did a self examination of how I did last week and I couldn't excuse myself from the fact that i misused time a lot, I wasted much time on social media and procrastinating on important things that need to be done.
Immediately I saw this topic I knew its a call for adjustment because to be productive in life is very crucial to manage time wisely since no human has the power to increase the day more than 24hrs, personally sometimes I will just feel so bad when I look at the time and see that the day is over and I haven't achieved anything, and this will encroach with the next days activities which shouldn't be so.
But the facts still remains that if I manage my time effectively I will still have some hours left to have some rest in a day.
New method of managing my time
BEFORE
Before now, especially last week I made a great mistake of logging into my Facebook page first time in the morning and I will scroll all most three to four hours before I realized that i have wasted much time.
Second thing that lead to misuse of time was opening my door first thing in the morning and my neighbors will say a simple greeting that will lead to two to three hours discussion which I would later regret.
Third thing that wasted my time was making a call first thing in the morning and allowing the call last for so many hours before I will realize that time has gone.
Sometimes I will waste hours drinking with friends while I have a lot on my desk to do and I end up just wasting the whole day.
Now
To avoid wasting of time I list my task the night before the next morning, after creating this content I will go ahead and list my task for tomorrow and this depends on what I have achieved today, I will first examine how I did today and where I wasted time and why, then I will work on not repeating same mistake tomorrow.
First on my list is morning workout, that takes me 30 mins, then I do my morning worship that also takes 30 minutes, my door will still be locked.
Second on my list is washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen then get breakfast ready, this is very important because I found out that I didn't even eat healthy last week just because I mismanaged my time.
Thirdly I will have my bath and go for daily activities based on the day of the week.
One thing i strictly avoid is standing on the road and engaging in an unnecessary conversation that will steal away time for important things.
In everything I do on daily basis I have at least two hours to rest, that two hours all my devices has to be on flight mood to avoid distractions, proper rest helps my body to get ready for the next day activity.
If I don't have enough rest I hardly come up with effective plans for the day so rest is a priority for me.
Beyond doubt if we don't self discipline ourselves the blessing of technology will turn to a cause so its very crucial that with manage time wisely and have enough rest then we will be more productive and happy.
