Hey beautiful people,
How are you all doing? It's extremely cold here in my country, and every morning feels like a cozy cuddle with the blankets. What about the weather in your country? Do you feel the chill or are you enjoying some warm sunshine?
It’s been so long since I last wrote a blog. I missed this platform so much, but life has been incredibly busy, and I couldn't get enough time to sit down and post. Finally, I managed to carve out some time, and here I am! Today, I want to share something very close to my heart a simple yet beautiful piece of art that I created recently.
The inspiration behind this art was quite touching. As a university girl, I often find myself focusing on looking attractive when getting ready adding accessories, doing makeup, or picking out the perfect outfit. But over time, I realized we sometimes forget an essential truth: our beauty is not defined by external embellishments. True beauty radiates from within, from the confidence and motivation we carry inside.
So, I decided to create a daily reminder for myself a craft made with ice cream sticks that I hung on my mirror wall. It reads, "Hey Pretty", a phrase that constantly reminds me that I am beautiful just the way I am. This small affirmation has brought positivity to my routine, and I hope it inspires you too.
Material Used
- Ice cream sticks
- Poster colors
- Paintbrush 🖌️
- UHU glue
- Tiny multi-colored flowers
Step 1:
I started by placing two ice cream sticks vertically and glued them together using two additional sticks to make the structure longer and sturdier.
Step 2:
Next, I glued three horizontal sticks on the top and three more on the bottom, ensuring they were evenly spaced and aligned properly to create a frame-like shape.
Step 3:
Then, I took a brush and painted the entire craft in my favorite peachy color. It dried beautifully and added a soft, elegant look to the piece.
Step 4:
To add the lettering, I first sketched out "Hey Pretty" with a pencil to avoid any mistakes. Afterward, I carefully traced over the pencil marks using a fine brush and jet-black poster color.
Step 5:
Finally, the most fun part — the decoration! I glued tiny, multi-colored flowers onto every empty spot I could find. This gave the craft a cheerful and vibrant look, making it super cute, as you can see in the final result.
The Final Look
This craft is not just decorative but also motivational. Every time I look into the mirror, it reminds me to embrace my true self and not rely on external things to feel beautiful.
I hope you liked this craft and the thought behind it. If it resonated with you, please leave a comment below and check out the video linked above. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
See you in my next blog. Goodbye and stay happy!
