Mabuhay, Hive readers!
It is my pleasure to virtually meet you all! Before anything else, allow me to thank my dear friend @cthings for introducing this platform to me. I can't stop thinking about this after she did months ago! Here I am now, ready to explore this digital universe.
'Tis I
I go by the name Allie; I gave myself this nickname when I wanted to have this idea of "a new me" back in 2020. At 27 years young, I find myself amused in the beautiful tapestry of life, the way this tapestry is linked to my passions, and my adoration for the most trivial of things that makes life and this world more interesting. Whoops, I also have this tendency of using big words just so you'd think I'm a poetic human-being (I'm not!).
One of my many interests include Taylor Swift's music, please expect reading LOTS of phrases referencing her all through-out this blog 💜

This blog, my personal corner of the digital universe, is a place where I intend to share the delightful snippets of my life and how I deal being in my late twenties.
Beach please!
Lately, I've realized that I love the oceans. I enjoy the scent of salt in the air, the way my feet get buried in the sand, the warmth of the sun, yet the cool embrace of the waters—all of it.
At first, I thought it's just the city-girl in me that gets excited whenever she sees anything that's not cemented roads and skyscrapers but I remember that this excitement has always been with me since I was a little girl. My family's every trip to the beach was the reason of it all! Now that I've grown, every trip to the beach is an opportunity for me to find solace in the varying waves of the water—may it be calm or rough.

"…She Says I Began to Sing Long Before I Could Talk" - Thank You for the Music, ABBA
I grew up on a family that loveeees karaoke. The singer of the song Thank You for the Music has her mama telling her that she began to sing long before she could talk. In my case, my mama tells me that I began to sing long before I could read! At 3, I already memorized the words to the song that my mama and papa used to sing all the time. Well, I would probably refuse when you ask me to sing right now, but that's all-pure subtlety of me because I've always imagined of surprising everyone that I can sing—maybe even bagging some prizes on a company outing when no one knows I can hit some tunes.

Plantita with a heart for animals
Despite growing up in a city, I was able to enjoy having lots of potted plants around me. It has been one of my papa’s pastime hobbies whenever he’s off work. I remember being heartbroken when we had to leave behind a big and nice pot of plant when we moved apartment. It was the plant where he used to tie fruits and made me believe that our plant really bore those fruits. Crazy right?
Aside from growing up with potted plants, I also grew up with pet dogs. At a very young age, I learned and experienced how loyal pets could be, who could resist those loyal tiny faces, you know what I’m saying? I wish I could just live in a farm where I could take care of different animals and just tend to my garden and handpick fruits and vegetables for dinner, who wouldn’t like that?!

I guess that's all I can share with you now. If you share the love for the beach's embrace, the therapeutic power of plants, enjoyment of music, companionship of animals, and even the enchantment of Taylor Swift's music then you are in for a treat! Join me on this digital adventure as we explore life, and together, let's celebrate the beauty that surrounds us at every turn!
With feet that are always ready to be buried in the sand,
Allie ✨
