Hello beautiful people.
Would I call myself a surgeon at this point? Because I successfully enlarged my client's hip through my fabric and fibre.
Let me call it BBL๐คฃ, well it's not on the human body but on fabric to lift the butt.
Let me take you through the process.
Here are the materials needed for a butt lift( body shaper)
Fibre of two inches
Fabric gum
Pattern paper
Pencil
Tape measure
Scissors and paper tape
Step 1
The first step to achieving this is to have the person's accuri body measurement. This is what you'll need to achieve a perfect butt lift.
Measure the hip, thigh, waist, and get the croth depth and width.
Now grab your fabric. Preferable, a skin tone crepe which is a little bit thick and non stretchy.
Step 2
Draft the basic short on your pattern paper, using the measurements mentioned earlier.
Place the front short bodice on your skin tone crepe. Mark out the butt crack area on your pattern and connect to the hip like so.
Cut out the front short bodice on your creoe like I did here.
Step 3
Repeat the same for the back, going up from the hem by 2 inches, then make a connection through and to the hip. Ensure you give it a butt shape to make it look very natural. Cut out the back bodice after placing the pattern on your crepe.
Trace the extra hip line you've created initially on your short, cut it out and place on your fibre.
Step 4
Repeat process for front as well. Remember to flesh out the sides of the fibre so it doesn't become too puffy. If you do not flesh it out, it looks weird on the body of the person wearing it.
Step 5
Sew your front short and back short bodice together to make it a whole.
Step 6
Grab your front fibre and secure on the front piece of your short, using a fabric gum.
Step 7
Repeat process for the back as well and then sew the edge to make it firmer. Add your zipper at the back and fold the waistline and hem of the short.
Here's what it should be looking like and when you rock it, it will give you the BBL effect like so.
My client didn't send me the picture of her wearing the shaper but she loved it.
Will you be trying this? It's safer than going under the knife and more to that, it is comfortable and feels natural. Sometimes we need the hour glass shape to rock certain styles. It's not out of place to have this shaper handy when you need to rock such dresses.
It doesn't need to be worn every day of your life. Just one or few times when you need to. I believe we are all created in our own unique way, so every body type is beautiful.
However, as a fashion designer, I've learned the art of enhancing client's figure to help them rock their outfit better.
Images used belong to me, DIY cut, crafted and sewn by me.
