Walk in the evening before sunset or in the morning while enjoying the fresh morning sunlight. Every few days I visit my garden.
Well, the garden I visited this time is about 2 km from my house. In the evening, I will cycle. In the morning, I will walk there.
My garden is about 400 meters wide. I bought it for about $3000. In my area it's quite cheap. Apart from being used as a garden, it can be used as a house building in the future. But for now I'm just making it into a garden. I think this is also a good investment here. It's hard enough to find land to build your own house or even just to grow your plants.
This season, this garden is planted with rice plants at the seedling stage. Also, some vegetables for available space, such as papaya and local basil.
This time the sun had already set but the sky was still beautiful. Leaving the sunset colors in the sky. That makes me even more in a good mood.
So, this time I will harvest local basil. Here, local basil is popular for raw eating to complement rice meals with spicy side dishes.
Have you ever seen this local basil? This basil is different from the type of basil used to make pesto.
Local basil here has thinner leaves. Also smells fresh. That's why local basil is also good as a natural mouth freshener.
Apart from that, local basil has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. So it's good for reducing stress and anti-inflammatory. Another good thing, local basil can control blood sugar. It can be a great option when we eat rice because rice can cause blood sugar to rise quickly.
For me, I like to eat this raw basil when I eat spicy dishes. Or, you can also mix it into noodles.
I'm happy that this time I can harvest a lot of local basil. This basil can quickly wilt. A great option is to pick them immediately before consuming.
If stored in the refrigerator, I usually wrap this basil in tissue paper. And add some peeled fresh garlic to an airtight container along with the basil that has been wrapped in tissue paper.
To harvest this basil, I only use scissors. Simply cut the stems and branches of the basil that look tall. Later, they will quickly sprout again.
For more pleasure things, please kindly to see how I harvest these basil in my video.
❤️❤️❤️ Enjoy my video.
