Hello Everyone!
I'm back again with my Weekly Battle Challenge. This week's theme is one of the epic monsters from the Life element, Temporal Master. It just so happens that this season I am not actively playing every day, so I can only share my posts close to the deadline. Well You can also read my post Combo Full Defense in Life (Gold League) // Social Media Challenge which I shared yesterday to take part in the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge.
To be honest, the battle challenge using Temporal Master is challenging for me because this is one of the monsters that I never use in the battles I usually do. I don't like the monsters that have to be recharged, not only the Temporal Mater, but also other monsters like Insidious Warlock of Death element, Ifrit Rising from Fire Element, or Xyvax Vuul from Dragon element. Only Uriel The Purifier monster with Recharge that I usually use as a tank because it has large HP and Armor and has Flying and Heal abilities at its level up.
Well as you know I'm not a Proplayer nor am I a tournament hero, I'm just happy to share the battle strategy of the battle which I find interesting which might be a reference you can use if the monsters and rulesets in your battle support it.
TEMPORAL MASTER
The horologe node is the first focus. The annulus scepter the second. But to ascend to the highest levels of the craft the anachron time mage must abandon talismans and operate by mind alone. For the rare adept blessed by visions of the turning wheel they can shift the flow of siphilum in time's flow by sheer force of will.
It is these Temporal Masters that advised the great council until the highest in their order, the High Magus Obin Anvaras, betrayed them. Those that remain hunger for a chance to reknit time and erase the chaos heresy that brought the Legion to the Splinterlands.
LORE from Splinterlands

Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: EPIC
Element: LIFE
Attack: MAGIC
Mana Capacity : 3
Abilities: Recharge, Stun
Temporal Master is a monster with a Recharge ability that has the least mana capacity when compared to other monsters that have the Recharge ability. At level 1, this monster has magic damage of 1 and HP 2, and if you look at the milestone ability or damage from the increase in the level of this monster, it doesn't change too much. Magic damage increases to 2 at level 4 and Stun abilities are active at max level. I think this Recharge ability is very tricky, where the right momentum is needed so that the 3x damage produced can be useful. Moreover, the possibility of this monster to die before the action is also very large so we have to put this monster in the right position so that it does not die before attacking. In addition, 3x damage may be wasted if the target only has 1 HP left. this is tantamount to an attack without Recharge. If the attack from the monster with Recharge manages to hit the target, the damage will be extraordinary, on the contrary, if the momentum is not right, the Recharge that occurs will be in vain. Let's see the full stats of the Temporal Master in the image below.
BATTLE PREPARATION
RULESETS
The rulesets in this battle are Reverse Speed (Monster with lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance to evading attacks) where the capacity is 24 and the active elements are Water, Life, and Death.
LINE-UP AND STRATEGY
Manacap 24 is battle low mana, so I'm going to use both defensive and attacking strategy at once. To defend I will fill all the slots in the line-up, and to attack I will use as many monsters as possible that have speed 1 in order to attack first. As we know that the chance of winning will increase if we can attack first.
For the Summoner, I chose Grandmaster Rathe. I think this is the best summoner life to survive because it has +1 Armor, Void Armor, and Amplify abilities. For the order of monsters and the strategy of each monster, you can see from the table below:
Monster | Posisi | Ability | Strategy |
---|---|---|---|
![]() | First ( Tank) | Flying, Reflect Magic, Devine Shield | Pelacor Conjurer max level gold, as non attack tank. In low mana battles, this mustard is one of the favorite tanks because it only has mana 2 but high speed, high HP, has the ability to fly, Reflect Magic, and Devine Shield which is strong enough to withstand the opponent's attacks. Although the rulesets in this battle are Reverse Speed and this monster has Highspeed, but other abilities are quite useful for becoming a tank. |
![]() | Second (Tank) | None | Soul Fiend, Monster with mana 0 as a complement to filling the empty slots on the Line-Up. I put this monster in second place as the second tank, which will replace the Pelacor Conjurer as a tank when the Conjurer caster dies. This monster will not move if it is not in the first position because it has a Melee attack. |
![]() | Third (Attacker) | Flying, Opportunity, True Strike | Celestial Harpy level 5, although not max gold level, the True Strike ability is already active at this level, and this is quite useful because this monster has a speed of 3 while this ruleset is Reverse Speed. Opportunity Monster with mana 2 and has damage 2 Melee attack is one favorite monster in low mana battle |
![]() | Fourth (Support, Attacker) | Flying, Repair, Resurrect, Immunity | Adelade Brightwing level 3with ability Flying, Repair, Resurrect and Imunity, One of the most important monsters in this battle formation. All the abilities of this monster are very useful, and more importantly, this monster has a speed of 1, which allows it to attack earlier than other monsters. |
![]() | Fifth (Attacker) | Recharge | Temporal Master level 5, The main actor of this battle challenge. There is no specific strategy from this monster, and I put this monster in fifth place to get this monster from Snipe attacks and opportunity monsters, but there is still the possibility of getting an attack from Sneak monster. In my calculations this monster will not die in 1 round or will not die before attacking. |
![]() | Last (Attacker) | Affliction, Camouflage, Poison, Scavenger | Doctor Blight, The mainstay monsters that are strong in Battle Low and Middle Mana. As the main attacker in this battle because of his abilities and because of speed 1. This monster will be the monster that dies the last because of the rearmost position and has the ability Comouflage. The poison of this monster will increase damage to the opponent if the poison is active, and the Scavenger ability allows this monster's HP to increase when other monsters die. |
LET'S GO TO THE BATTLEFIELD!!!
The opponent uses the Waka Splinterblade level 3 summoner, the Legendary summoner of the Death element who buffs Poison for all the monsters on his team. The line-up of the opposing team is Cursed Slimeball with ability Redemption pad in first place, Cursed Windeku with Thorn and Heal abilities in second place, Revealer with Stun and Immunity abilities in third place, Venary Bonesmith with Life Leech ability in fourth position, Weirding Warrior with Shatter and Amplify abilities in fifth position, and Doctor Blight level 2 in the latest position.

~~~Battle Link Direct~~~
The first round starts from the giving of buffs and debuffs from all Summoners and Monsters. In the first round, the total damage on my team was 2 melee and 4 magic attacks, while on the opposing team it was 5 magic attacks, 2 range attacks, and 1 melee. From the number of attacks my team is indeed smaller, but don't forget that I put the monster with Magic Reflect in the first position, coupled with the Amplify ability of the Summoner. Magic's attacks from opponents are like suicide bombings.
Only Cursed Slimeball died in the first round, and the Temporal Master was recharged and ready to attack in the second round. The second round began with Pelacor Conjurer dying from receiving poison. Then came the epic moment when Pelacor Conjurer Resurrect by Adelade Brightwing. Doctor Blight from the opponent died when attacking Pelacor Conjurer, hahaha this is very funny because his attack did not hurt Pelacor Conjurer but he himself died because of Magic Reflect.
Another epic moment occurred when Cursed Windeku, who previously still had 5 HP, died due to an attack from the Temporal Master. As I said above that the attack from Temporal Master requires the right momentum, and in this battle this momentum appears.
This battle went very quickly, ending un the third round. I win with 5 monsters left. Final result from this battle I increase 40 rank, earned 17,903 RP and get 0.687 SPS.
STRATEGY DISCUSSION
My strategy worked very effectively in this battle. I think The key to win from this battle is because Reflect Magic and Amplify, that make magic attack like suicide bombings. The conditions would be different if the Opponent used a full sneak or full opportunity attack, maybe I would lose. And it could be that the Temporal Master will die before attacking. The use of monsters with Recharge is indeed very risky, but if the momentum is right, the attack will be a very deadly attack. This is why I rarely use monsters with recharge, except for the ruleset back to basics.
