ARCHMAGE Standard Token Prelaunch Sale Announcement
We're pleased to announce that the Archmage Splinterlands Bot has completed its Alpha (ARCHMAGEA) and Beta (ARCHMAGEB) phases, allowing us to announce our plans for the future!
How We Got Here
Our Main Launch and Reward Fees System have been slated for sometime after the conclusion of Beta token sales.
Developing the Reward Fees System has taken longer than planned due to game updates and higher priority features that arose. As a consequence, the billing system has been changing as we have been designing it.
We made it a priority to focus on the bot itself versus putting the time into finishing the Reward Fees System. This pivot extended the early adopter phase, allowing users to join the project and enjoy the service while we focused on the core product. In that time, the Archmage bot has been blowing away our users and inspiring a great amount of interest.
There has been so much user interest in the project, in fact, beyond our anticipated demand for the Beta phase, that we have completely sold out of our Beta passes. This leaves many Splinterlands players that want to use our service with very little ability to get tokens from Archmage. Seeing greater opportunity in holding them, very few of our current token holders have been selling their tokens.
^^ TLDR: We have a horde of users that want in and a billing system in the final design stages, leaving us with the need to slightly adjust plans again.
Our solution: We have a new strategy -- onboard users while rewarding early adopters. We will issue limited print runs of the Archmage tokens (ARCHMAGE) that can be used before the Main Launch. This will be the final Prelaunch phase! This will also provide more value to the early adopters through promos fuelled by these sales.
ARCHMAGE Standard Token Launch Phases
- Prelaunch - 8 Weeks - We'll onboard new users with earlybird pricing, and we'll hold special promos for our Alpha and Beta users.
- Main Launch - Once all the tokens have been sold from the 8 Week Prelaunch program, we’ll assess the technical state of the project with a view to officially moving into our Standard pricing. We hope to introduce the Reward Fees System at this time.
Special Prelaunch Promos for Alpha and Beta Token Holders
To further reward our early adopters, we're excited to include some special promotions during this 8-week Prelaunch period as well.
A portion of the proceeds from Prelaunch token sales will be allocated to a prize pool for early adopters holding an ARCHMAGEA or ARCHMAGEB token.
Prizes will be distributed by lottery to Alpha and Beta users throughout the Prelaunch.
A larger final distribution will occur at the end.
For every 50 tokens we sell, a big prize will be airdropped to a randomly selected ARCHAMGEA or ARCHMAGEB token holder.

Prelaunch Pricing
We're excited to officially announce a new partnership with Splex.gg to help onboard new users during our Prelaunch phase.
To bridge the gap from now until the Main Launch and Reward Fees System, we will be minting no more than 50 ARCHMAGE tokens per week for the next 8 weeks (for a total of 400 tokens).
These tokens will be available for purchase exclusively via Splex.gg and will allow new users access to the service immediately. Just as before, these are Hive-Engine tokens, and thus are freely tradeable on the Hive-Engine exchange once purchased.
These Prelaunch tokens will be available for $25 each. This is to account for the fact that rewards fees aren’t in place and to place an additional premium on early access before Main Launch.
This pricing allows us to hold true to the spirit of what we laid out in the original whitepaper regarding the release of standard ARCHMAGE tokens.
Our partnership with Splex.gg also brings some added benefits of quality of life improvements to the Archmage onboarding process.
Archmage and Splex.gg are working together to build features to automatically send tokens on payment as well as having a self-serve way for users to add their account and posting key details to use the Archmage service.
These improvements to the onboarding process will be exciting for new and early users alike!
Main Launch Pricing Updates
It's important for the Splinterlands game, as a whole, to have an enjoyable and solid path to onboard new users in a fun and exciting way. Right now, the Archmage bot is currently so powerful that new players in Bronze barely stand a chance if too many bronze users are using our service. Even the other bot services have a large impact on this experience in a way that we feel is negative to the ecosystem in many ways.
As a result, we have decided to focus our future efforts on Silver and above players in order to allow new players to have a fair chance at competing and learning the ropes in Bronze.
While we will not immediately increase the current restriction of 5000 Collection Power, in order that our existing players might still be able use Archmage in Bronze I at this time, we will be increasing the upfront cost of a token at the main launch to $20/token to help align our pricing with a higher league user.
The plan is for this pricing to go into effect at Main Launch, which we hope to be after all 400 tokens from the Prelaunch promo period have sold.
It is our intention to run our future token (ARCHMAGE) sales model, for general bot access after our main launch, using control on the print quantity to allow service to expand in a way that is healthy for our Archmage and the Splinterlands ecosystem. This model will likely provide some periods of time where the only way to get a token will be the secondary market, when the print supplies are exhausted for a period of time, or we have suspended new printing for internal technical reasons. During these events, we intend to allow users to add accounts that are picked up on the secondary markets, as long as support limitations due to scale are not preventing this in a technical way.
Rewards Fee System
We are building the Rewards Fee System and making it an easy-to-use and great overall experience for our users.
We're still finalizing how the Fee System will function, but we want to make sure that it's in line with the present rewards system recently released by Splinterlands. The final system will still be in the spirit of what we wrote in the original whitepaper.
While we're not sure how long it will take at this point, but we will provide more information as the Fee System development nears completion to help users get ready. We are aiming to have the Rewards Fee System ready by the end of the Prelaunch but cannot guarantee this will happen.
