Perspective in history
Hi all guys and welcome back to my blog. For a few days I had been reflecting on the effects of progress and how much it had affected our urbanization. As a teacher of art history, whenever I find myself talking about progress, I cannot help but mention the historical and architectural testimonies of the ancients, such as the Egyptian, Greek and Roman civilizations. A journey on the wonderful Egyptian architecture, the sphinxes or the pyramids, and on the Greek temples, wisely developed by the Romans, majestic architectures that remain as a testimony of our history.

So I decided to represent this journey through history with a very accentuated perspective. I drew the skyscrapers in perspective that project towards the sky, below them the miserable ancient architecture. Then with the watercolors I colored everything, starting from the light colors to add the violet and cobalt blue shadows.

An upward projection of our progress, which will lead to the urbanization of other planets and do damage there too. I leave you the steps of making the watercolor and I hope you like it.

Prospettiva nella storia
Ciao a tutti ragazzi e ben tornati sul mio blog. Da qualche giorno riflettevo sugli effetti del progresso e su quanto avesse inciso sulle nostre urbanizzazioni. Da insegnante di storia dell'arte ogni qualvolta mi trovo a parlare di progresso non posso fare a meno di portare ad esempio le testimonianze storiche e architettoniche delle antichi, come ad esempio la civiltà egiziana, greca e romana. Un viaggio sulle meravigliose architetture egizie, le sfingi o le piramidi, e sui templi greci, sviluppati sapientemente dai romani, architetture maestose che restano a testimonianza della nostra storia.

Allora ho deciso di rappresentare questo viaggio nella storia con una prospettiva molto accentuata. Ho disegnato i grattacieli in prospettiva che si proiettano verso il cielo, sotto di essi le misere architetture antiche. Di seguito con gli acquarelli ho colorato il tutto, partendo dai colori chiari fino ad aggiungere le ombre violette e blu cobalto.

Una proiezione verso l'alto del nostro progresso, che di condurrà alla urbanizzazione di altri pianeti e fare dei danni anche lì.
