It's been a few days since we got back from Austria, so it's high time to write a brief recap of the Hive Creator Days while the memories are still fresh and vivid :)
I've already described the individual days mainly from a tourist perspective in my Actifit reports – I'll just link to those here, and this time I'll focus on the event itself and its organization. Some of the photos will be repeats, some will be new, and there will also be a short video. But most importantly:
How was it?
It was an absolutely amazing experience. What made it truly special is the fact that meetups like this one really highlight that Hive is so much more than just a blogging platform. Above all, Hive is a community – real people behind the usernames, and what's more, friendly, open-minded, and genuinely kind people. The chance to see who’s behind those cryptic nicknames and to exchange a few words face-to-face is by far the biggest value of trips like this.
Unfortunately, we could never make it to Hive Fest so far, and the upcoming one isn’t looking feasibly either. But now I know for sure – events like this are packed with such good vibes that they are totally worth it. If you have the chance to go – do it. We’ll definitely be going again when we can :)
That said, we’re left with a bit of a feeling that we didn’t make the most of this trip. And the simple reason is – we had the kids with us :) And don’t get me wrong – I adore my children more than anything and wouldn’t want to go on vacation without them. But in this particular case – a trip meant to bring the Hive community closer together – the truth is, it's just easier to really connect and participate when you’re not chasing toddlers around. For us, it was either go with the kids or not go at all, so the choice was obvious.
Maybe in a few years we’ll manage to leave the little ones with grandma for a few days and get to enjoy the experience from a different angle. (Or maybe next time we’ll just turn it into a full-on kinderparty, haha – more kids = more playmates = more free time for the grown-ups to socialize! ;))
Day 0
[PL /ENG] Exploring some Graz My Actifit Report Card: April 30 2025
We spent our first day after arriving getting gently acquainted with the town. We also hit the pool for a bit of relaxation, and in the evening, we joined the first get-together :)
We already knew quite a few people from previous meetups in Kraków, and we also met lots of new faces – the atmosphere was warm and promising right from the start.
Day 1

The meetup at Spacelend didn’t start until 3 PM, so we had some time earlier in the day to do a bit of sightseeing.
The sessions that day were pretty informal – it was all about getting to know the other participants in a relaxed atmosphere. In the evening, we all met up again for dinner at 3 Goldene Kugeln.
Day 2
[PL /ENG] HCD Day 2 & Schloss Eggenberg My Actifit Report Card: May 2 2025
Day two was all about Hive-focused presentations. Every single one of them was interesting – even the ones about tools I already know and use regularly. Turns out there’s always more to discover, and it’s such a great opportunity to exchange ideas directly with the creators of the tools you rely on.
Our kids were absolute troopers and made it through the first block of talks like champs. Unfortunately, halfway through the second block we had to step outside for a bit of fresh air with them. I was a little bummed about that, as those sessions covered topics I’m less familiar with and was really looking forward to. But hey – I’m still super proud that we managed to get so much out of the event even with two little ones.
And in the evening – another great dinner, perfect for mingling and connecting. This time it was near the beautiful Schloss Eggenberg castle.
I didn’t manage to snap any photos during the dinner (blogger fail, I know), but trust me – both the location and the vibe were absolutely fantastic.
Day 3
[PL / ENG] HCD Graz Day 3: Clean Planet Walk to Schlossberg and City Tour at Hive Creator Days
Day three was just perfect. It kicked off with a walk up to Schlossberg, combined with a trash-pickup effort as part of the #cleanplanet initiative. I really like and appreciate actions like this. Back home, we used to organize similar grassroots cleanups quite often :)
This time, there was actually less trash than people eager to pick it up – but hey, that’s definitely a good problem to have. Either way, spending time outdoors, doing something meaningful together, surrounded by beautiful scenery – that’s the kind of thing I’m always 100% on board with.
After that, we explored the city together – a lovely shared walk through Graz. The day was supposed to wrap up with a farewell dinner, but we didn’t make it to that one, as it was a bit outside the city and we had a long trip home ahead of us the next day.
We also still had to pack – and trust me, we had a lot of stuff to sort through. It’s a shame we missed the final dinner, but even so, we had an absolutely wonderful time that day.

Yeah, I know – I’m not exactly the world’s greatest blogger. Somehow I never manage to catch the right moments on camera. I’m much better at regular, horizontal vacation clips! This time I tried to get fancy and make a classic short-style vertical video – and well... it turned out how it turned out 😅 But hey, it’s still a fun little keepsake!
