Today I stumbled upon a cool site called Zed run. The concept is cool and basically enables users to create horse racing stables. In these stables users can buy/sell virtual race horses. The market place also enables purchasing of various virtual horse breeds.
Now I barely got access today but there are no horses for sale at the moment. Most of the card drops are sold out. It always makes me laugh at the people who are first in line for these things. They always seem to have an investment cheat sheet.
Regardless it looks like a fun concept and a great way to get in on some horse racing action. I’ve always enjoyed real life horse racing. Frankly, owning a horse is one of my dreams. But currently living in the legacy hell economy puts this dream out of reach.
At any rate I’ll drop some ETH into the my wallet soon. Once the horses come up for sale I’ll probably purchase one. I don’t like the fact that is built on ETH due to the fees. But I want my own pony. :)
The concept of virtual items is nothing new to me. I have written about this concept previously. It will now become common to own virtual items and actually derive an income from these assets. Aside from breeding/racing virtual horses look for other games to be developed.
The possibilities are endless in terms of gamification of virtual assets. Imagine virtual racing cars similar to Zed run. Building and even betting on virtual race tracks for the fastest cars. 24 hour race action at your finger tips since blockchain never sleeps.
Or virtual sports leagues similar to Madden. However, earning crypto now comes into the equation. A true secondary market can now be developed for the best virtual players. And more crypto income can be created for the user base.
The trend of virtual gaming is going to start to heat up within the next year. The pricing of some of these Zed horses are already going for thousands of dollars. A billion dollar market space is about to built very quickly. Yet, some chains may not be able to scale quickly enough.
Over the next month I will be on the look out for more gaming opportunities. It has become somewhat of a passion of mine. The ability to earn crypto while having fun is something I strive for. And padding my income with virtual riches is the ultimate goal.
I will share what I find with the community. As always do your own homework. In crypto land there are NO sure things. Please be careful and only invest what you can afford to lose.
