State Vocational High School 1 Nisam, North Aceh District, Aceh Province, held a mindset change-strengthening workshop for teachers at the school, Friday (18/11/2022).
Present as a speaker was Masriadi Sambo, Secretary of the Center for Social and Humanities Studies (LPS2H) Aceh and Lecturer in Communication Studies, Malikussaleh University (Unimal) North Aceh.
Head of SMKN 1 Nisam, Ismail, said the workshop was to increase teachers' knowledge about perspectives in educating SMK students.
“Times have changed, of course our point of view must also change. How do we encourage people to become individuals who have complete character by solving the problems they will face," said Ismail accompanied by Deputy Principal of SMKN 1 Nisam, Nuraini.
He said another training was also held for teachers such as strengthening the character of the work culture by presenting the Founder of Tandaseru, Lailan Fajri Saidina.
"We are the only center of excellence in North Aceh, so we continue to encourage teacher competence, and student expertise and connect them with the world of work and the business world," concluded Ismail.
In his presentation, Masriadi, among other things, reminded the need for the teacher's role in changing the mindset of students that school is a comfortable and fun place.
"This awareness must exist in every teacher and transmit it to all students," said Masriadi in front of the participants.[ayi]
Workshop Mindset Change untuk Para Guru
Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 1 Nisam, Kabupaten Aceh Utara, Provinsi Aceh, menggelar workshop penguatan mindset change untuk guru di sekolah itu, Jumat (18/11/2022).
Hadir sebagai pembicara Masriadi Sambo, Sekretaris Lembaga Pusat Studi Sosial dan Humaniora (LPS2H) Aceh dan Dosen Ilmu Komunikasi, Universitas Malikussaleh (Unimal) Aceh Utara.
Kepala SMKN 1 Nisam, Ismail, menyebutkan kegiatan workshop itu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang sudut pandang dalam mendidik siswa SMK.
“Zaman sudah berubah, tentu sudut pandang kita juga harus berubah. Bagaimana kita mendorong agar menjadi pribadi-pribadi yang memiliki karakter lengkap dengan penyelesaian masalah yang akan dihadapi,” sebut Ismail didampingi Wakil Kepala SMKN 1 Nisam, Nuraini.
Dia menyebutkan, pelatihan lainnya juga digelar untuk para guru seperti penguatan karakter budaya kerja menghadirkan Founder Tandaseru, Lailan Fajri Saidina.
“Kami ini menjadi satu-satunya sekolah pusat keunggulan di Aceh Utara, sehingga kita terus mendorong kompetensi guru, keahlian siswa dan menghubungkannya dengan dunia kerja dan dunia usaha,” pungkas Ismail.
Dalam pemaparannya, Masriadi antara lain mengingatkan perlunya peran guru dalam mengubah pola pikir anak didik bahwa sekolah adalah tempat yang nyaman dan menyenangkan.
“Kesadaran ini harus ada dalam diri setiap guru dan menularkannya kepada semua siswa,” ujar Masriadi di hadapan para peserta.[ayi]
