Hi everyone who has always been loyal to this CCH community. Especially for you photography lovers. How are you all doing? May the best news always be with you. On this occasion, I would like to share about photography related to plants, more precisely plants that can be consumed, namely vegetables. And I will try to describe a little about some of these vegetables to the best of my knowledge. These photos were taken when I took a walk to a garden while spending my free time. And some of these photos I took using a smartphone.
From the photo you see above, there is a Gambas plant and its fruit. Gambas or Oyong (Luffa acutangula) is a minor vegetable commodity. It is usually planted in yards or parts of fields that are not used for other crops. Gambas is harvested when the fruit is young and processed as a vegetable. Gambas is related to belustru (Luffa aegyptiaca).
And from the photo above, you see Cucumber. Cucumber (Cucumis sativus) is a plant that produces edible fruit. The fruit is usually harvested when not yet fully ripe to be used as a vegetable or refresher, depending on the type. Cucumber can be found in dishes from all over the world and has a lot of water in it, which is cooling. Cucumber slices are also used to help moisturize the face and are widely believed to reduce high blood pressure.
The next one from what you see in the photo is long beans. String beans (Vigna unguiculata sesquipedalis) are one of the most popular vegetables in Southeast Asian and East Asian cuisine. The pods are cooked as a vegetable or eaten raw as a vegetable salad. It grows by climbing or twining. The part that is used as a vegetable is the fruit (pod) that is still young and the fibers are still soft. Long beans are easily found in hot regions of Asia. The leaves are called lembayung and can also be processed into vegetables.
And there is also cayenne pepper in the picture above. Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens) is a fruit and plant member of the genus Capsicum whose fruit grows upward. The color of the fruit is small green when young and when it is ripe it is dark red. When pressed, the fruit feels hard because the number of seeds is very large. This chili is hard to separate from street food, namely fried foods that are usually eaten with raw young chili peppers.
Next is a picture of a vegetable called water gourd. Water gourd or vegetable gourd (Lagenaria siceraria) is a type of gourd whose young fruit can be savored and the old fruit is used as a water container, tube, decorative bag, or koteka. Water gourds are closely related to beligo and taste similar. The shape of the fruit varies, ranging from rounded to elongated oval. This plant is known to be one of the oldest cultivated plants, but it is grown not for food but for household tools.
This picture is a kale plant. Kale is a plant that belongs to the type of vegetables and is grown as food. Kale is widely sold in markets. Kale is widely found in the Asian region, the place of origin is unknown and is a plant that can be found almost everywhere, especially in watery areas. A popular kale dish in my area is cah kangkung bumbu tauco or terasi, also in wewarungan there is pelecing kangkung lombok.
That's some knowledge about these vegetables and some photography. Hope it was useful and you like and enjoy it. Thank you for everything. See you next time. I take my leave, greetings from a lover of nature and its contents.
