Dolphin Status Achieved
Today was my third power down of steem, and today that power down has allowed me to reach the second plateau in my Block Chain life. I now have 5000 HP. I remember it like it was only yesterday, but it was almost three years ago. Looking at and dreaming of the day I would reach Dolphin Status. Back then 5000 Steem powered up, meant a pretty hefty vote from Dolphins, today, not so much.
A lot has changed over the course of the three years I have been active on the Block Chain. I myself have changed a bit over the course of the three years, the first year I did a lot of reading, and ogling over other peoples pictures. I wanted to do picture post, but all I had was a smart phone, that was my start though, that got me going on my photo journey through the Block Chain.
I got a nice brand new Nikon D7500 Camera a couple Christmas's ago, and have been having fun with pictures and words since then. Every post I felt needed a picture, and I really did not want to use other peoples pictures, the problem was solved. I am by no stretch of the imagination a professional or even an amateur photographer, I am just a back yard photo kind of guy, and those are the ones I like to see.
So since every post needs a picture:
It is not a very pretty picture, it will never win any photo competition, but I think it fits well with my travel down the Block Chain road. There have been some tight spots in that journey. I have been hit by a full deck of cards in down votes on a simple question early on.
Like the Dandelion, coming up through the cracks of pavement and bricks I continued, I did not give up. It would have been easy to do, all the other Social Media outlets I tried were just not really what I wanted to participate in.
The Block Chain however was different. The content was real, while some of it was people trying to impress other people with how smart or how pretty or how brainy they were, there were even more just ordinary people, people just sharing little tid-bits of life, sharing their backyard view through pictures.
There were also some professional people, real authors who were serializing their books to the readers on the Chain. This was what first attracted me to the Block Chain. A free peek so to speak of stories published, of stories being written, of help being sought, of just plain old sit around the campfire and tell a story. I loved it, I still do.
Back to the flower, as it struggled up through the cracks, I also struggled, i also like to think I bought a little bit of beauty into the Block Chain via one or two of my post. I feel that over the course of time I have blossomed a little bit, and as the dandelion goes into its next phase, I hope that I have set free a few seeds for people to think about.
I know there have been a lot of post that have made me think, the authors have spread their fluff and stuff and some of it takes hold and in time the seeds are planted and sprout anew. Spreading joy, wonder and thoughts through the winds of the Block Chain.
Dandelion seeds don't need much, just a breath of fresh air and they are carried off to heights and depths unknown. That is the Block Chain, there is so much potential for people, it just takes a little bit of time, plant the seed, let it grow.
I want to thank each and every person that has helped me to reach Dolphin Status, it was a long road, it was hard at times, but my seed found a resting spot somewhere along the way and then it planted itself and began to grow. Thank you all for the nurturing and caring enough to help my growth and expansion.
