Together with @rollie1212 we are discovering more and more new bike routes from Prague. And last Sunday we decided to ride in the direction of Nymburk, using a printed atlas of the Labská trail as a starting point :) The route was planned without prior preparation, right before the start from our district of Žižkov, so I'm not sure that it turned out to be the most scenic. However, I can definitely say that we enjoyed it. Having passed Žižkov and Spojovací, we crossed the Hrdlořezy and Kyje district and went to the Rajská Zahrada metro station, where the first surprise (positive) awaited us. Right above the metro line, rising 10 m above the highway, there is a bike path that ends at the Černý Most metro station. The feeling is very unusual, because on the right there are panel houses, on the left below there is a car road, and in the distance you can see low-rise buildings. Honestly, I did not know about the existence of this bike path, which can be recommended to cyclists of any level. From Cerný Most we rode through Horní Pocernice to finally get to comfortable bike paths winding along fields and private houses, but with asphalt quality as if ready to host the Tour de France :)
And finally we went to the Labe River (Elbe), ending up in the pretty town of Lázně Toušen, where we came across an excellent beer garden with draft beer, lemonades, ice cream and other friends of cyclists. After a half-hour rest, we crossed the river over the bridge and headed to the final point of the route.
This section also goes along comfortable paths, giving the opportunity to ride on gravel and forest paths only for the last 4 km. However, this was not a strong trail, so you can safely use road or gravel bikes here. Arriving in Lysa nad Labem we took a tour of the city, then went to the local beach to take another break with a beer and, having gained strength, we went to the train station, from where we took a comfortable train ride, paying 65 CZK and arriving at Prague Main Railway Station in 40 minutes.
I am attaching a link to our bike route and wishing everyone great bike rides!
