Hello everyone your welcome to my blog today.
Stepping into the university I was very happy because I stayed at home for a year and it was such an exciting moment for me when I heard that I got admission. I got admission into Abia state university Uturu the year 2018 October.
I was already running late as I got admitted late and paying all the requirements needed took up so much of my time, but indeed it was a good experience because I got to meet new people who helped me navigate my way through as a year one student before getting my accommodation and fully settling into students’ life.
My normal routine for waking up at 5am every morning so the same was applicable to school. When I wake up, I go down to the hostels tap to fetch water and refill my cans and then prepare what I will eat for the day, then I move on to getting the clothes I want to wear to school ready.
Then I would move on to having my bath and brushing, then I dish my food and eat then pack my bags and step out for lectures.
Coming down to how my daily routine can be sometimes, well on a good day it can go well and on some bad days it can be very stressful and messy. Sometimes lectures can be all packed up in a day and when you leave your hostel early in the morning you come back being so stressed and tired that most times you end up being irritated at the end of the day.
My lecture starts most times by 9am most of the times and it lasts till 4 or 5pm. But sometimes it starts by 6:30am, you can imagine, we had this lecturer that lectured us on computer, and he lived around the school so he would always come to school by 6:30am and if he doesn’t see you in class then he would take his attendance and keep the latecomers outside the class.
My favorite spot in school was the school cafeteria I go there almost every day because it has a lobby that is always cool to stay in in go there with my friends to study most of the time and charge our phones during the day because we might not have light in the hostels.
Then during evening periods, I go for my church activities or go for drama rehearsals, most times it runs from 5pm to 6pm, after which I return home to have dinner, shower and relax for a new day.
A big shout out goes to hive the students’ community for this weekly prompt to share my experience as a student. It’s my pleasure sharing my experience with everyone.
