Köy sakinlerinden kulağımıza düştüğü kadarıyla, bu köy 1900'lü yılların ilk çeyreğine kadar Rumların ikamet ettiği küçük bir Ege köyüymüş. Mübadele zamanında buraya gelen Türkler hala burada ikamet etmektedirler. İnsanlar o kadar samimi ve sıcak kanlı ki, sohbetlerinin tadına asla doyamıyorsunuz.
