Hello everyone
Greetings to you all on this beautiful day and i hope you are all doing great today as I bring to you the process of recycling these two pieces of left over fabrics to make a bottle holder with drawstring for myself.
By recycling, we are putting into good use some materials that were supposed to be trashed out or disposed into good or better use. I have been in need of a bottle holder for my little bottle which has no hand and I thought this would be a perfect decision to put into use these pieces of fabrics instead of disposing them. This bottle holder is a unique one as it has an extension of another fabric at the top which the string was inserted in
Join me as I take you through the making process of my bottle holder
First thing I did was to cut out a 17 x 6.5" with interfacing which was ironed on it and same shape of lining
It was folded in two and I cut out 1" at the folded end on both sides and the same was repeated on the lining
I took the main fabric to the sewing machine and sew on both sides as well as the bottom
The same was repeated on the lining but I left an opening by the side where it can be turned inside out
I cut out another piece of 12 x 5" for the extension at the top, it was folded in and sewn to make a loop
It was folded together and sewn by the side before it was sewn together to the main fabric at the top round
The main fabric was inserted in the lining right side to right side and it was sewn together at the top round
It was turned inside out through the opening on the lining and the opening was sewn together
After turning it inside out, the lining was put back in and I sew round the edges
Finally, I cut out a long bias tape and sew it together to make a rope and it was inserted in the loop
This is the final outcome with my bottle
You can see how beautiful the outcome is with my bottle put in the bottle holder and fastened together
I hope you like the beautiful outcome and how I recycled these pieces of left over fabric to make something useful.
