I’m one of those kids who got so enticed by the scrub cap nurses wear. Then, in my first few years at school, my mum’s friend comes to the shop almost every evening and whenever she’s around, all I stare at is the scrub cap and her clean white gown which is one of the reasons why I love her.
Then, one day, I was having a girl-to-dad chat with my daddy when he threw a question at me. “What do you want to become in future?”. Normally, I could have taken a few seconds to think about it but immediately, I screamed “nurse!!!”.
I could remember so well that I greeted almost every nurse whom I come across and the only time when I run away from them is when I’m about to have an injection.
My goal kept on being valid until I started grew up. It started in my high school days when I discovered that I have little or no knowledge about Mathematics. It’s true that practice makes perfect but no matter how much I learn, I seem not to get it and I gave up on Mathematics. Also, I didn’t even have the urge to know it. It’s just a very stressful subject.
That’s one of the determinant factors of achieving my dreams. To study nursing, I have to be good at Mathematics and if I am to study nursing at the university, I have to pass Mathematics examination. No one warned or told me before I changed my dreams.
Then, I started noticing myself. The people I moved around it were just so playful. I remembered how my teachers used to insult my friends and I about being too playful but for me, I just felt like something I can use my playfulness to bring out something reasonable and it led me to being an influencer.
At some point, I was the social prefect in high school and while at the university, I was the assistant social director and now that I’m done at school, I will fully follow my career of being a social media influencer.
These days, it’s one of the highest paying jobs and if I do it, I’ll live a stress free life because it’s something I find easy doing and it is something I love to do.
