Introduction
Dear readers,
I just discovered this Hive platform and after lurking a bit I saw the tip to create an article to introduce myself. So here I am. Although I have to make a disclaimer as I rather stay anonymous. I don't mind to share some information about myself but rather don't post any pictures nor mention my name. As there was no kyc required, I guess that's fine for this platform. Nonetheless I want to talk a bit about myself, it should make it easier to get to know some people.
Who am I?
I am a 25 year old male living in the Netherlands. I have lived there my whole life, did some occasional travelling but nothing too fancy. So far I have been in Europe in a couple of countries, mostly in western Europe. When I travel, I enjoy to get to know the local culture in the broad sense. I like to discover local food, I just like to eat and try out new tastes. Talking about food, my favourite meal are mussels. We often eat them when we have family over, it's kind of typical for our region in the Netherlands. I prefer it when they are prepared in their most basic form, a bit of onion, carrots and a mix of herbs.
Gaming
Besides I love to eat and discover new styles of cooking, I like to game in my spare time. I have played quite a variety of games so far. When I was ten years old, I discovered Age Of Empires II. I think that was one of my first games I used to play on a computer, as far as I could remember atleast. I wasn't allowed to play games on the internet, that specific game I could play over and over without getting bored. Eventually my parents allowed me to play games on the internet. As I had some friends in primary school who were playing Runescape, I decided to try out that game. It was a MMORPG, Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, if I recall well. Anyways, I have played that game probably for thousands and thousands of hours. Near the end of secondary school, I got to know League of Leagends. Once again, a game on which I have 'wasted' a crazy amount of hours. It took a while before I knew which role/champ I preferred to play. Eventually I ended as a Shaco One Trick Pony. I just clowned everyone, had some great times.
And in the presence?
Enough about my past, now a bit about my current life. I work for an international company in the procurement division. For those of you who are unaware, I create purchase contracts for our company. Especially professional services are my terrain. Merely consulting but some hr and marketing services as well. Besides that I live together with my girlfriend in our house. So far we don't have any pets but we will probably go for a dog later on. At the moment it isn't ideal as I have to travel every now and then and my girlfriend works a lot of hours as well. Whenever we have the time, we will probably go for one though. We are both really animal friends. In my parents house, we always used to have a cat and my girlfriend always used to have a dog at her parents house.
Hive platform
As already stated, I have spent quite some hours on several games. As crypto is all over in the news nowadays, I decided to see if there exists something as crypto gaming. I discovered a concept: play to earn and came across Splinterlands. Besides the game. I figured out that you can blog to fund your Splinterlands monsters. As I am kind of hesitating to invest real money, I thought that trying out to blog on the Hive platform couldn't hurt. So here I am, trying to introduce myself. If anyone of you would have some tips for a beginning Splinterlands player, feel free to share. I am eager to learn about the game, its strategies and possibilities to grab more monsters.
To end
I tried to introduce myself as good as possible. Although, I have to admit that I have never blogged before. So, feel free to correct me and/or give me tips as well on that aspect.
Don't hesitate to ask me any question if you want to know anything else about me!
