Having published news last week that Splinterlands were going to launch yet another token to counteract the sheer volume of DEC and vouchers being printed, some of the Hive Community were sure that April Fools day had arrived in January and this was all just a bit of banter from the Splinterlands team.
"You are having a laugh, right?" said one Splinterlands player John who has seen his card values plummet in the bear market.
"What are they trying to sell me this time?"
"Another token??, but we already have DEC, SPS, CREDITS , VOUCHERS, MERITS, NODES, REGIONS, PLOTS, TRACTS??" stated John scratching his head.
"Surely not another one??"
"What are they gonna call it??
"SPS-B or sometime??"
"What? Sorry? DEC-B?, HAHAHA are you having a laugh?"
The controversial news came when Splinterlands think tanks came up with a plan to ultimately fix the two tokens that were effectively broken on the platform being DEC and Vouchers by burning them for a new token DEC-B. Some say it is a great idea and others doing not want to confuse matters even further by throwing a new token into the mix of what already is a confusing situation.
"You would need a PHD in Computer Science to figure this game out" claimed Grainne who only has a higher degree in Computer Engineering and is still trying to get to grips with understanding mana.
"The uppercrusts in charge must be thinking back to their childhood around the old lady that swallowed a fly and implementing this system with tokens as opposed to animals to sort out their problems."

"In a couple of years they will be launching Credits-D to counteract the effect that DEC-B had on the ecosystem."

It is rumored that Splinterlands hired Kelloggs Frosties Marketing team to come up with the new name for the token. The Frosties executives who made their name from the catchy slogan on the Frosties packaging.
After a week of brainstorming, coffee and overtime the new Splinterlands token name was finally decided on.

"DEC-B is currently gone to vote proposal but we should be seeing it real soon" claimed a Splinterlands exec who regretted calling the Frosties team.
We do not foresee anything negative whatsoever with this DEC-B plan as it is perfect in every way.
